You are responsible for the production of discipline specific design and engineering deliverables to support the project.\nMain purpose of the role\nPrincipally a hands-on design-based role with a degree of team leadership. The Engineer is responsible for delivering a package of work within a project within their discipline. Frequent liaison with other disciplines in the design team and the client would be expected. The engineers are the main interface between senior management and hands-on design.\nKey Accountabilities\nDevelopment of designs to satisfy the technical specification,\nProduction of design deliverables throughout the design process,\nChecking of basic design calculations,\nContribution to design reviews and safety reviews,\nPreparation of technical specifications,\nPreparation of installation, commissioning, and operating documents,\nEnsuring quality and timely delivery of design documentation throughout all phases of the design process,\nCompliance with safety and statutory regulations,\nDevelop cost effective technical solutions,\nProvide support during Site surveys, installation and commissioning.\nOccupational Skills and Knowledge\nHNC (minimum) in a relevant technical / engineering discipline or demonstrable experience,\nAssociate membership of a discipline specific engineering institution.\nDuties and Requirements\nEssential\nKnowledge of the fundamentals within your engineering discipline,\nPrevious experience in the design of Building Services (inc: Ventilation and piped services),\nGood understanding of safety legislation and statutory regulations,\nStrong organisational and interpersonal skills,\nCommercial awareness,\nKnowledge and experience of design software (Typically AutoCAD or similar).\nDesirable\nDegree Qualified in a relevant technical/engineering discipline,\nExperience in the nuclear industry,\nManagement of design teams in the technical delivery of projects,\nManagement of sub-contractors,\nKnowledge and use of REVIT software,\nKnowledge and use of IESVE design software,\nConstruction Site experience.\nNuvia -
