Leading and developing Lineworker teams to ensure that the business requirements are executed and to provide technical support to the tendering team.\nResponsibilities & Duties\nIncluding but not limited to the following:\nManage operational resource requirements on day-to-day basis across all projects ensuring that there are sufficient resources and authorisations to support the business requirements\n\nReview project requirements and centrally manage resources\n\nHave a clear understanding of resource locations\n\nResponsible for line management of all Lineworker employees\n\nAssist in Human Resource management\n\nReview and approve holiday requests in consultation with project teams\n\nEnsure that all authorisations are relevant and in date\n\nReview and assess competency\n\nDevelop and structure training requirements of new and existing employees\n\nAttendance at site walkovers during tender stages\n\nReview of tender documentation particularly in a technical capacity\n\nProvide project programme and information for tendering\n\nConduct handovers to assist the project execution stage\n\nUndertake role of Construction Manager on projects during peaks if required\n\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients\n\nWork as part of a team to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of operations\n\nDevelop method statements and risk assessments\n\nPromote Health & Safety across the business\n\nEmbed a positive culture and improve culture within Lineworkers across the business\n\nProactively identify areas for business improvement to improve safety and efficiency\n\nContribute to innovation within the business\n\nImprove operational efficiencies\n\nReview business risks and share with wider team\n\nCarry out other duties as necessary\n\nPerson Specification\nThe jobholder will be responsible for the safety of themselves and colleagues, and act as ambassador for a strong safety culture within Omexom. This role can be challenging, and therefore the jobholder will be required to respond quickly to changing situations whilst maintaining a positive mindset. The jobholder must be a strong character and be able to manage effectively during times of conflict or confrontation. At Omexom we aim to provide the best possible service to our customers.\nQualifications and experience\nThe jobholder must have experience of working in the overhead line construction industry and possess a strong understanding of health, safety, environment and quality aspects and have a sound technical knowledge, as well as:\nExperience, knowledge and application of the utilities/construction industry.\n\nExperience in a similar role\n\nIndustry recognised Engineering or Safety qualification\n\nTechnical experience in Overhead Line construction methods and procedures\n\nExperience of managing and developing people\n\nCompetencies\nRequired skills, knowledge, and abilities:\nFlexibility to be able to travel to work locations across the whole of the UK, Ireland & occasionally in Europe\n\nFull driving license\n\nAbility to understand overhead line technical documentation\n\nSound knowledge of tender processes\n\nPossess the ability to work in a time pressured environment\n\nBe able to multitask\n\nMust have strong communication skills\n\nAbility to work under own initiative\n\nProficient in computer applications including MS Excel and Project\n\nThis is a flexible based role with frequent travel and overnight stays as required.\n\nValues\nIn line with Omexom’s values, the jobholder must have the following qualities:\nTeam Spirit & Generosity -
