This will involve:\nA 1.5 km-long tunnel, built by a pressurized TBM (10.5 m diameter slurry TBM);\nTwo vertical shafts (onshore and offshore);\nAn offshore modular intake structure, resting on the lake bed.\nThe project is distinguished by its proximity to an active nuclear site, requiring rigorous standards of safety, planning and coordination.\nWhat you will do:\nAs a Payroll Specialist, you will oversee the full payroll lifecycle for unionized construction employees, covering payroll processing, employee onboarding and offboarding in ADP, employee records management, regulatory and year-end reporting, while ensuring compliance with collective agreements and applicable legislation.\nConcretely, your tasks will be:\nManage employee onboarding and offboarding in ADP; \n\nOversea and maintain employee records, including maternity and paternity leave, paid leave, absences, and sick leave, and other union regulated leave entitlements; \nProcess union payroll in compliance with collective agreements, provincial and federal legislation; \nProduce payroll reports and ensure data accuracy across ADP and Excel; \nReview time entries and ensure accurate calculation of regular hours, overtime, premiums, allowances, and union benefits \nRespond to employee payroll inquiries related to pay, hours worked, overtime, leaves, weather-related work disruptions, and other payroll or time-tracking matters; \nReview time entries, calculate wages, overtime, premiums, benefits, and final pay; \nPrepare and validate T4 year-end filing \nAdminister WSIB payroll reporting and accident-related pay adjustments; \nMaintain ongoing regulatory awareness related to unionized payroll, including payroll and tax legislation, collective bargaining agreements, labor relations requirements, and related HR regulations. \nYour skills:\nPost-secondary diploma or degree in Payroll Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; \nPCP or CPM designation (Canadian Payroll Association) is considered an asset; \n4-5 years of payroll experience in a unionized environment in the construction industry; \nStrong experience working with unionized employees, including union rules, collective agreements, and labor relations; \nProficiency in ADP payroll systems; \nKnowledge of Ontario employment regulations (ESA, WSIB) in unionized environments; \nStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.\nWhat do we have to provide:\nGross annual salary between 75K and 95K, depending on experience and profile\n4 vacation weeks & 3 emergency/sickness days paid;Annual bonuses;\n\nGroup Health Insurance (premium participation including virtual health care system);\nRRSP Program\nCareer development opportunities;\nA cosmopolite and inclusive work environment;\nAttractive and challenging project.\nAt Deep-Water Intake Group, we believe that diversity is a source of wealth and strength.
