Omexom UK and ROI specialises in the design, supply, installation, maintenance and commissioning of electrical infrastructures for a varied range of electricity utility companies and renewable energy developers throughout the UK and Ireland.\nThe Role\nDuties will include but are not limited to:\nWork closely with Design Engineers to ensure the safe, efficient and productive delivery of HV substation projects.\n\nRepresent Omexom professionally in a wide range of project situations with various internal and external stakeholders.\n\nAssist with managing compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, policy and legislation.\n\nCo-ordinate design activities, resources, materials and equipment.\n\nAct as a point of contact for design engineers and communicate with all clients to ensure delivery of the required planned productivity on a daily basis.\n\nAssist with programme development and resource planning.\n\nRepresent Omexom at client meetings.\n\nAssist with the overall tendering process, working closely with the Business Unit General Manager to develop comprehensive and accurate bid returns, to challenging timescales.\n\nAssist with all site and client interfaces.\n\nWork closely with Design Engineers to manage project costs and income, ensuring commercial targets are met.\n\nProvide technical support to the engineering team, continuously looking for improvement in the work package delivery process.\n\nInteract with all Client personnel as required to ensure full co-operation on projects is achieved through good interpersonal relationships.\n\nAttend and undertake meetings with clients, contractors and consultants as required.\n\nTravel as required to support business requirements.\n\nDevelop reports for Engineering team.\n\nEssential Skills and Competencies\nPrevious management experience including the ability and willingness to address poor performance.\n\nGood commercial awareness with ability to monitor and accurately report performance against pre-determined targets.\n\nA sound working knowledge of electrical infrastructure, safety rules / legislation and CDM (UK) / Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (ROI).\n\nGood working knowledge of computers and relevant computer packages including Microsoft office products.\n\nExceptional customer focus.\n\nA willingness to assimilate to our Values.\n\nExperience and understanding of working within contract terms and conditions.\n\nA good level of commercial awareness and understanding of power networks.\n\nDesirable Skills and Competencies\nSound working knowledge of broader electrical networks including distribution systems and associated plant and equipment.
