Based in Hampshire, you’ll work with project teams and customers to configure and implement reliable systems that meet operational requirements.\nThe Role\nYou’ll contribute specialist AVEVA System Platform expertise across the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and system configuration through to testing, commissioning and ongoing support. You’ll collaborate with engineers, project managers and customers to deliver effective automation solutions, with a focus on quality, safety and clear documentation.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop and configure AVEVA System Platform solutions for industrial automation projects.\n\nDevelop and maintain AVEVA InTouch applications, ArchestrA objects, graphics, templates, scripts and system configurations.\n\nTranslate customer requirements, functional specifications and process information into effective control system solutions.\n\nIntegrate AVEVA System Platform with PLC, SCADA, HMI, historian, MES, SQL and other industrial systems.\n\nConfigure communications and data interfaces using appropriate industrial protocols and technologies.\n\nProduce functional design specifications, software documentation, test plans, system manuals and project records.\n\nWork collaboratively with control engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, customers and third-party suppliers.\n\nParticipate in factory acceptance testing, site acceptance testing, commissioning and customer handover activities.\n\nInvestigate and resolve software, database, communications and system integration issues.\n\nProvide technical support, system upgrades, modifications and continuous improvement for existing installations.\n\nEnsure automation solutions meet project requirements, engineering standards, cybersecurity expectations and customer specifications.\n\nSupport estimation, technical proposals, project planning and the development of standardised automation solutions.\n\nMaintain a strong focus on safety, quality, compliance and customer satisfaction throughout project delivery.\n\nShare knowledge and provide technical guidance to colleagues, supporting the development of automation engineering capability.\n\nConsistently apply Quartz principles and be a guardian for the basic values of Actemium.\n\nAbout You\nDemonstrable experience developing and implementing AVEVA System Platform solutions in an industrial automation, manufacturing or process control environment.\n\nStrong practical knowledge of AVEVA System Platform, ArchestrA and InTouch applications.\n\nExperience with industrial control systems, SCADA, HMI, PLCs, databases and system integration.\n\nUnderstanding of industrial communications and protocols such as OPC, Modbus, Ethernet/IP or equivalent technologies.\n\nExperience with scripting, SQL databases and troubleshooting automation software and communications networks.\n\nAbility to interpret control philosophies, P&IDs, functional specifications and electrical or instrumentation documentation.\n\nExperience participating in FAT, SAT, commissioning and site-based project activities.\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to software development, testing and documentation.\n\nConfident communicating with customers, suppliers, project teams and stakeholders at all levels.\n\nAbility to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively on multiple projects.\n\nCommitment to safe working practices, quality standards and professional engineering conduct.\n\nRelevant qualification in Automation Engineering, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nWillingness to travel to customer sites and project locations as required.\n\nFull UK Driving Licence.\n\nDesirable Experience and Qualifications\nAVEVA System Platform and OMI/InTouch Certification”.\n\nExperience with AVEVA System Platform, OMI, InTouch, Historian or related AVEVA technologies\n\nExperience integrating SCADA and control systems with business, manufacturing or enterprise applications.\n\nKnowledge of industrial networking, virtualisation, Windows Server and automation system cybersecurity.\n\nExperience working within regulated industries or safety-critical environments.\n\nProfessional membership of an engineering body or progress towards professional registration.\n\nPlease note: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
