Co-ordinate regular site safety meetings with respective subcontractors.\n\nEnsure temporary works documentation is in place as per current policies and procedures.\n\nCo-ordinate traffic management works, liaise directly with specialist contractors, where required.\n\nCarry out regular site visits and inspections/audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.\n\nEnsure all incident and near miss reporting procedures are implemented and assist with investigations.\n\nAttend project progress meetings and report progress and KPI performance to NorPower and Client Management.\n\nResponsibility for ensuring all site records according to requirements are maintained in preparation for handover.\n\nResponsibility for your own safety and that of all personnel under your control who may be affected by our work including employees, contractors, visitors and the general public, taking action to eliminate unsafe situations, behaviours and practices.\n\nSupport the business through identification of, and participation and co-operation in, internal activities and improvement initiatives.\n\nKey interfaces\nRelationships with key stakeholders:\n· Business Unit General Managers\n· Client Representatives\n· Project Managers\n· External stakeholders, e.g. client, authorities\nPerson Specification\nQualifications and experience\nEssential:\n· Minimum 5 years’ experience managing OHL construction projects at Site Engineer level\n· Extensive knowledge and experience in the OHL construction industry with the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of operational, safety, legislative (in particular CDM Regs) and technical aspects of OHL works.\n· Computer literate particularly in the use of email and Microsoft Word and Excel.\n· Well-developed communication, teamworking and interpersonal skills.\n· IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent qualification).\n· For the Assessing Officer element, the role holder will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience supervising/controlling the type of work to be assessed.\nDesirable:\n· Current SSEN, WPD Authorisation\n· NEBOSH H&S in Construction Certificate\n· Experience in project Planning using software programmes.\nValues\nIn line with Omexom’s values, the jobholder must have the following qualities:\nTeam Spirit & Generosity -
