This role focuses on the safe, efficient delivery of work to the highest possibly standards, and exceptional delivery of projects to the highest standards of safety and quality within budget and time constraints. The ideal person for this role will be able to maximise productivity and control costs at all times, while maintaining effective communication with all customers to develop a relationship of trust.\nCollaboration is key to this role and maintaining a good client relationship to build upon the existing relationship\nThe post will entail hybrid working with the understanding that site visits will be required as deemed necessary. Accommodation will be provided.\nThis position will report directly to the Project Director.\nResponsibilities & Duties:\nIncluding but not limited to the following:\nProviding clear direction and support ensuring optimum utilisation of all available resources through improved work programming and scheduling.\n\nLead a project team providing support and mentoring to achieve successful project delivery\n\nUpdate and maintain the P6 Program in conjunction with Project Planer\n\nCommitment to continuous improvement through innovation and identification of best practises\n\nDelivering works in line with best-in-class safety and quality.\n\nEnsuring pre-calculated tendered margins are consistently delivered.\n\nSupport the Commercial Team submitting change management.\n\nManaging and motivating employees and sub-contractors. Including the management of poor performance through defined procedures.\n\nManaging cost budgets associated with the works location.\n\nLiaise with Commercial Team on preparation of monthly cost reports\n\nPreparing outputs for periodic review with Customers as directed by them.\n\nMaximising productivity, the right sizing of work teams and the planning and execution of works.\n\nDealing, in an appropriate manner, with all human resources related issues including disciplinary issues - at a site level.\n\nDelivering financial and other progress data for the preparation of financial and other reports as directed by the Finance Department.\n\nWhere necessary dealing courteously and professionally with Customers\n\nDelivering KPIs to include:\n\n- Number of safety audits undertaken\n- Product profit margins\n- Operating costs\n- Cash flow\n- Attendance levels\nAct as a role model for Omexom Company Values\n\nGovernance:\nInterfaces and relationships with key stakeholders:\nProject Managers\nHR Team\nBusiness Unit General Manager\nClients and customers\nTeam members\nPerson Specification\nQualifications and experience\nIdeally professionally qualified Electrical Engineer with HV experience\n\nThorough knowledge and understanding of NEC Contract\n\nA proven managerial track record with the ability to execute critical tasks in real time.\n\nExperience of the management of budgets.\n\nThe ability to plan works in the most efficient manner.\n\nThe ability to manage and motivate industrial staff.\n\nThe ability to put the customer at the centre of decision making.\n\nAn ability to deliver strong financial performance in a contracting environment.\n\nA proven understanding of quality and safety and how to manage them.\n\nExperience of meeting targets in a commercial environment.\n\nThe ability to engage at a specific and detailed level with key tasks, evidenced by those tasks being executed in a highly efficient manner.\n\nPersonal integrity, resilience and the robustness needed to operate in a fast-changing contracting environment.\n\nDesirable criteria\nPrevious experience at Senior Project Manager level.\n\nSSE experience preferable\n\nExperience of building HV substations and infrastructure at 275/400Kv\n\nValues\nIn line with Omexom’s values, the jobholder must possess the following qualities:\nTeam Spirit & Generosity -
