You will be responsible for delivering the commercial and contract management of our projects, from inception to final account. You will work closely with project teams and support functions, and build strong relationships with our clients and supply chain. Your enthusiastic, proactive and professional approach will be key to successful project commercial outcomes.\nReports to\nSenior Commercial Manager or Head of Commercial\nKey Accountabilities\nProvide commercial delivery of the following aspects for projects that operate on a lump sum, remeasurable, target cost, or reimbursable basis:\nProject cash flow and budget\nContractual terms & conditions (both client and supply chain)\nInterim applications in accordance with contract procedures\nChange management, in accordance with contract procedures\nNegotiation of contract amendments, including review of terms & conditions\nSubcontract account management, including review of interim applications, preparation of payment certificates, management and assessment of potential changes, and final accounting upon completion\nPreparation of internal cost / commercial reports, including accurate margin forecasting\nCompliance with all relevant Health & Safety regulations\nQualifications and Experience\n· Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or in a related subject (candidates with appropriate experience may be considered)\n· 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying in the engineering or construction industry\n· Good working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts (particularly Options C & E)\n· Demonstrable experience of successfully carrying out Quantity Surveying duties on multiple engineering and/or construction projects\n· Excellent oral and written communication skills\n· Ability to build strong relationships with project teams, clients, and the supply chain\n· Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines\n· PC literate in the Microsoft Office suite\nDesirable\n· Proficient in the use of the CEMAR Contract Management System\n· Line management experience (for Commercial Manager)\n· Current SC Clearance, or ability to achieve SC Clearance through NUVIA\n· Full UK driving licence\n· Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary\nWhy Nuvia\nNuvia - a subsidiary of VINCI construction - is an international company that operates across highly regulated sectors including Civil Nuclear and has a strong presence and history of delivery at nuclear sites in the UK and internationally.\nNuvia is a performance-driven company that is committed to the development of its people within a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.\nThe Job Description is a broad statement of the purpose, scope, and responsibilities essential to performing within the role to a required standard.
