This role supports ISO related activities, assists with workers’ compensation claims management, and acts as a point of contact for environmental needs related to safety. Lastly, this role is the “point” safety professional for the Chattanooga locations regarding Safety Orientations and Safety Documentation Management.\nEDUCATION:\nRequired: High school diploma or GED\nPreferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Safety Management, Safety Engineering, or a related degree\nEXPERIENCE:\nRequired: 1-3 years of experience of safety in an industrial setting\nPreferred: 3+ years of experience of safety management and assisting ISO programs in a chemical manufacturing environment\nPOSITION REQUIREMENT(S): Specialized Skills/License/Certification\nRequired:\nHave strong computer skills with high attention to detail.\nBe a self-starter with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments/facility needs.\nBe able to work independently and in a team environment.\nPreferred:\nKnowledge in OSHA regulations required for “General Industry.” OSHA 501 certification highly preferred.\nKnowledge of ISO 9001, with previous experience conducting internal and external audits.\nCORE COMPETENCIES (Essential Job Functions)\nMaintain a regular safety audit schedule for the Chattanooga facilities.\nAbility to travel 25-50%\nMaintain safety documentation for new hires and existing Zeco associates.\nWork with Vincit employees and our customers to fulfill all contractor requirements as they related to safety certifications.\nMonitor the status of workers compensation claims to ensure timely follow up and closing of all claims in the technical services group.\nProvide reporting information to the Zeco management team to assist in Risk Management efforts.\nWork with government agencies such as the EPA and OSHA during investigation to ensure the company is complying with all requirements.\nImplement safety programs and orientations related to technical services.\nAssist in managing ISO 9001 certifications for assigned plant locations.\nAssist the Director of Safety & Compliance with planning, leading, and following up on internal and external ISO audits.\nAssist with ISO 9001 documentation and internal databases.
