Full Stack AI Engineer (6-Month Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Full Stack AI Engineer with strongcloud engineering and DevSecOps capabilities to design, develop, deploy, andmaintain production-grade applications incorporating AI and Generative AItechnologies.

You will contribute to end-to-end application development,integrate AI-powered capabilities into user-facing solutions, and build secure,scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructure. The role also involvescollaborating with clients, stakeholders, and operations teams to deliverhigh-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development & AI Integration

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain end-to-end full-stack web applications.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, and agentic workflows into user-facing applications.
• Develop backend services and APIs using technologies such as Java, Python, Spring, Quarkus, FastAPI, and Node.js.
• Build frontend applications using modern JavaScript frameworks, such as React.
• Design and integrate REST APIs, GraphQL services, and messaging solutions.
• Work with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server.
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure code quality, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

Cloud Engineering & DevSecOps

• Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Apply containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Implement version control, automated testing, and GitOps practices.
• Apply secure-by-design principles, including identity and access management, secrets management, and least-privilege access.
• Monitor application performance and system reliability through logging, alerting, and observability practices.

Client Delivery & Technical Support

• Act as a technical point of contact for system issues, working closely with clients and operations teams to investigate and resolve problems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions effectively.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and other relevant project documentation.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge and stay updated on developments in AI, cloud engineering, and software development.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in software engineering, full-stack development, cloud engineering, or a related technical field.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade full-stack applications, including AI/GenAI workloads.
• Experience integrating LLMs, RAG, AI services, AI agents, or agentic workflows into applications.
• Strong backend development skills in at least one programming language, such as Java or Python.
• Experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework and full-stack application development.
• Strong understanding of API design, integration, and relational database modelling.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• At least 3 years of implementation experience in CI/CD, containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, version control, and automated testing.
• Experience with transactional databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and the integration of AI services into software applications.
• Knowledge of application security, cloud security, access management, and secure development practices.
• Good troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• A proactive, curious mindset and a strong willingness to learn and grow.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with financial services or public sector clients.
• Relevant cloud or technical certifications, such as AWS Solutions Architect or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD).
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving application or infrastructure issues.
