Every day, we work together to help our members buy and sell pre-loved clothing and lifestyle items, giving each piece a second life - or even a third.\nThe Vinted Group is made up of three business units that support this mission:\nVinted Marketplace is Europe’s leading platform for second-hand fashion and a go-to destination for all kinds of pre-loved items, with a growing range of categories. Our platform connects millions of members across 20+ markets, helping great items find a new life.\nVinted Go enhances the shipping experience with a vast network of over 500,000 pick-up and drop-off points, partnering with more than 60 carriers across Europe, with added services like item verification for peace of mind on high-value pieces.\nVinted Pay is the newest part of the Vinted Group, dedicated to bringing secure, reliable payments to buyers and sellers across Europe. Seamlessly integrated into the Vinted app, it helps keep every transaction safe, efficient, and easy for our members.\nFounded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania's first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we've grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people. \nMissions and activities of the position\n1. Project phase - owner's engineer for Maintenance\nRepresent Maintenance in every phase of new equipment projects (starting with the MRS1 cross-belt sorter), from design reviews to FAT, SAT, commissioning and ramp-up. For the sorter, whose design is already set, take over the installed system and optimise it after go-live.\nWork side by side with the OEM / integrator engineers: collect technical knowledge, challenge design choices, maintainability, access, spare-part strategy and the proposed maintenance plan before they are frozen.\nDefine and verify the Maintenance acceptance criteria (documentation, training, spare parts, safety, availability targets). The Maintenance sign-off is mandatory: no handover to operations without it.\nTrack and drive to closure the technical punch list and warranty issues raised during commissioning and the warranty period.\n2. Technical file & spare parts\nBuild and own the equipment technical file: as-built electrical and mechanical drawings, PLC and software versions, parameter backups, network architecture, safety documentation, OEM manuals.\nCreate the asset hierarchy and criticality analysis in the CMMS.\nDefine the critical spare-parts list (references, min/max stock, lead times) and keep it up to date.\nReduce dependency on the OEM: identify and qualify second-source suppliers for critical parts, run compatibility tests and document equivalences.\nPropose spare-parts and supplier decisions to the Maintenance Manager; after an initial period, take these decisions autonomously within agreed limits, with the Maintenance Manager's validation.\n3. Maintenance strategy & procedures\nWrite and maintain preventive maintenance plans, corrective procedures and troubleshooting guides for the equipment family, based on OEM data, FMEA and field experience.\nMonitor equipment performance (availability, MTBF, MTTR, top failure modes), lead root-cause analysis on recurring or major failures and implement permanent corrective actions.\nChallenge the original design when needed and drive engineering changes: retrofits, drive and firmware updates, software or parameter optimisation, with the OEM and internal stakeholders.\n4. Training & technical support\nTrain the operational maintenance team (technicians and operatives) on the equipment, its software/HMI and the troubleshooting procedures; validate their autonomy level.\nAct as the level-2 / level-3 technical expert for the equipment family on site and remotely, across sites.\n5. Escalation, vendor & SLA management\nOwn technical escalations through to resolution: with the Tetris team (Vinted's internal tools and sorting logic) when the issue is on the software or data side, and with OEM / integrator support (SAV) when it is on the equipment side.\nLead the diagnosis that tells which side an issue comes from (equipment, controls, Vinted software), with facts and data.\nWork within the after-sales and maintenance agreements already in place with OEMs: make the most of them day to day, monitor performance against SLAs and warranty terms, feed lessons learned into future renewals, and provide the technical evidence to the program managers, who own the contractual relationship.\nPrepare and lead technical review meetings with OEMs and integrators.\n6. Safety & compliance\nEnsure the equipment and its maintenance comply with machine safety requirements (CE marking, safety functions, lock-out/tag-out) and site H&S standards.\nSupport safety audits and regulatory inspections, and drive the resulting corrective actions to completion.\nOccasional responsibilities\nTake ownership of additional equipment families (e.g. conveyors, AMR fleets, Monk lines) once the cross-belt is stable.\nSupport pre-project technical due diligence on new equipment (specifications, vendor benchmarks, maintainability review).\nParticipate in the hiring and onboarding of maintenance technicians and future engineers.\nInterests, constraints, difficulties of the position\nHigh-visibility role on new strategic automation investments.\nSite-based in an operational warehouse, with regular presence on the shop floor.\nRegular travel to MRS1, OEM premises (FAT) and other Vinted Go sites, especially during commissioning.\nDay-based role, no on-call. Flexibility needed during commissioning, ramp-up and major incidents (possible early, late or weekend work).\nNeeds to influence without authority: OEMs, integrators, IT and program management teams.\n\nYour profile\nKnowledge & experience\nEngineering degree (Master's / Bac+5) in automation, electrical, mechatronics or industrial engineering, or Bac+2/3 with equivalent proven experience.\nAt least 3 years' experience, ideally 5 or more, as Equipment Engineer, Automation Engineer, Tool Owner or Maintenance/Reliability Engineer in a highly automated environment: parcel sortation and intralogistics, airport baggage handling, logistics or other automated industries.\nAutomation background required.\nProven involvement in at least one industrial equipment project from FAT/SAT to ramp-up, working with OEMs or integrators.\nTechnical skills\nAble to read and diagnose complete PLC and HMI programs (Siemens TIA Portal and/or Rockwell, Beckhoff) and to make controlled modifications; industrial networks (Profinet, Profibus, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP).\nDrives (parameters, firmware), servo motors, sensors, scanners / DWS, pneumatics; reading electrical and mechanical schematics.\nRetrofit experience and component qualification (equivalence, compatibility testing)\nSafety PLCs and machine safety functions.\nUnderstanding of the interfaces between equipment controls, SCADA/WCS and IT systems.\nReliability methods: FMEA, RCA (5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D), criticality analysis; CMMS and PM planning.\nSortation equipment experience (cross-belt, tilt-tray, shoe sorters) is a strong plus.\nFrench electrical certification (habilitation électrique BR / B2V / BC) or ability to obtain it.\nFluent French and professional English (OEMs and the Vinted Go network work in English).\nBehavioural skills\nStrong ownership: treats the equipment as their own, from design to end of life.\nAble to challenge OEM and integrator engineers constructively, with facts and data.\nStructured and disciplined in documentation.\nGood teacher: enjoys transferring knowledge to technicians.\nCalm and solution-oriented under production pressure; strong safety mindset.\n\nPlease note: the main tasks and skills identified and noted in the function described above may need to evolve depending on the constraints and organisation specific to the company and its environment. They are, therefore, indicative and not contractual.\n Working at Vinted \nIndividual learning budget\nEach year, you’ll be given a learning budget (starting at €3,000), and a total of up to 10 working days over a 2-year period to support your personal and professional development.\nEqual opportunity\nWe welcome applications from everybody, regardless of your background, identity, or life experiences. Job openings come with guides, not checklists. If you’re excited about a role, but don’t identify with every point in the ‘About you’ section, apply anyway - you might still be the perfect match!\nThe annual gross salary range for this position is:\n€45.000—€60.000 EUR","description_format":"text","description_chars":8684,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":3,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"master","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"French","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":["Professional development"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Marketplaces","Apparel & Fashion Brands"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-13T13:15:44Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":60,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.602,"p_room":1,"age_days":0,"expected_fill_days":12,"reasons":["conf:0","stale_co","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-14T06:34:16Z"},"pay":{"stated_usd_annual":67071,"is_top_pay":false},"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/vinted-equipment-engineer-automation","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/vinted-equipment-engineer-automation.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-15T02:48:31Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4143,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-16T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":56356},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=56356"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fvinted-equipment-engineer-automation"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fvinted-equipment-engineer-automation"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fvinted-equipment-engineer-automation"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/vinted-equipment-engineer-automation\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fvinted-equipment-engineer-automation"}]}
