The ideal candidate will contribute to the development and application of advanced finite element and numerical models for structural, thermo-mechanical and manufacturing processes, supporting industrial problem-solving and process optimization. The role focuses on advanced simulation, predictive modeling, and industrial research projects. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and programming skills to develop innovative engineering solutions.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop finite element models for structural, thermo-mechanical, and manufacturing processes.\nSimulate metal forming, extrusion, rolling, fracture, fatigue, crashworthiness, and material behavior.\nDevelop predictive models and digital twins for process optimization and industrial troubleshooting.\nParticipate in industrial and research projects with internal and external partners.\nParticipate in proposal writing, project execution, and technology development activities.\nQualifications\nPhD in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.\nStrong background in solid mechanics, materials behavior, numerical methods, and finite element analysis.\nProven experience with simulation software such as ANSYS Mechanical, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, or equivalent.\nStrong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, C/C++, Fortran, or equivalent.\nAbility to independently develop, validate, and deploy numerical models in industrial environments.\nIndependent thinking.\nProven problem-solving skills.\nSkills\nCandidates with experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered favorably:\nReduced-order modeling (ROM), surrogate modeling, or model-order reduction techniques.\nOptimization methods, digital twin development, or simulation-driven design approaches.\nMachine learning, AI, or advanced data analytics applied to engineering problems.\nHigh-performance computing (HPC) environments.\nMultidisciplinary industrial or research project collaboration.\nBenefits\nCompetitive compensation package based on qualifications and experience\nTransportation from Attiki, Evoia and Voiotia to Oinofyta\nPrivate Health Care Plan - can be increased to incorporate dependents\nOur people are the key to our success.
