The successful candidate will have strong HR knowledge, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential employee matters professionally.\nExperience within a legal practice or auditing firm is non - negotiable , with a strong understanding of the professional-services environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage the full HR function from onboarding through to employee exits.\n\nCoordinate and conduct employee onboarding, inductions and orientation.\n\nManage Candidate Attorney registrations with the Legal Practice Council (LPC) and related administrative requirements.\n\nCoordinate and manage Board Exam registrations and processes for Candidate Attorneys.\n\nManage the full payroll function, including monthly payroll and temporary employee calculations.\n\nManage employee terminations, resignations and exit interviews.\n\nOversee performance management processes, including probation reviews and performance evaluations.\n\nDraft and maintain employment contracts, offer letters, amendments and other HR documentation.\n\nEnsure compliance with applicable labour legislation, including the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA).\n\nManage leave administration and leave records.\n\nHandle sensitive employee relations matters, grievances and other confidential HR issues with discretion and professionalism.\n\nAssist with and manage B-BBEE compliance and related HR requirements.\n\nMaintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.\n\nProvide guidance to management and employees on HR policies, procedures and employment-related matters.\n\nEnsure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied across the practice.\n\nAssist with disciplinary processes and other employee relations matters where required.\n\nRequirements\nRelevant HR qualification.\n\nMinimum 5 years' HR experience.\n\nPrevious experience within a law firm or auditing firm will be highly advantageous.\n\nPractical knowledge of South African labour legislation, particularly the BCEA.\n\nExperience with payroll administration and temporary employee calculations.\n\nWorking knowledge of LPC Candidate Attorney registrations and Board Exam processes.\n\nStrong understanding of performance management, probation and employee relations.\n\nExperience drafting employment contracts and HR documentation.\n\nKnowledge of B-BBEE requirements.\n\nExcellent organisational and administrative skills.\n\nStrong attention to detail and accuracy.\n\nAbility to deal with highly confidential and
