Provides support to manufacturing in attaining all divisional goals for manufacturing.\nEssential Functions:\nConducts time and Motion analysis as input for all business system labor standards. \nConducts analysis for business system material usage standards, and material specifications.\nDetermines, develops, and maintains product process routings as input for business system product routings. \nDevelops and maintains/provides input, for all business system master data. \nProvides manufacturing facilities layouts to provide for efficient flow of materials. \nDevelops product cost estimates for product development groups and Customer Service. \nDevelops, communicates, and effects Engineering Change Requests/Authorizations, including update of drawings, and other product related documents that improve cost, quality, and delivery.\nIdentifies, develops, and effects work environment improvements. \nInitiates and effects improvements in methods, materials, and processes to support manufacturing cost improvement goals. \nProvides support to Marketing and New Product Development to allow timely introduction of new products to manufacturing.\nUses quality management tools and methodologies to identify product quality standards and opportunities for improvements in product quality. \nQualifies, monitors, and analyzes vendor manufacturing and delivery processes and performance to fulfill business objectives and goals. \nProvide information to accounting for verification of production costs. \nMust be flexible to perform other duties as assigned and required.\nRequired Qualifications:\nKnowledgeable in the basics of product packaging. \nMust have an extensive understanding of and the functional capability to develop and maintain business system master data.\nMust be proficient with a moderate level in Computer Aided Design/Drafting (e.g., AutoCAD) \nMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.\nMust be able to work in a standard office environment. \nMust have good communication skills, both written and verbal. \nMust be able to work with minimal supervision, be very detail orientated and possess strong organizational skills\nMust have knowledge and proficient use of applicable office-related equipment.\nMust have excellent team skills, be flexible, and be able to meet and maintain performance standards. \nMust display the applicable level of “Job-Critical Skills”: communications, judgment/decision making, safety, quality of work, initiative, teamwork, flexibility, leadership, service, motivation, planning/organizing, and job knowledge/skills development. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nA Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field and experience in Industrial Engineering functions including time and motion analysis and cellular manufacturing. \nSome experience in welding, metal fabrication, finishing, “engineered wood” working, assembly, and packaging.\nA working knowledge of outlook.\nPhysical Requirements:\nWill require the ability to sit at desk, as needed up to 75% or more of the work hours and the ability to lift as needed up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis. Must be able to adjust to applicable environmental conditions, to include changes in temperature. May occasionally be exposed to chemicals, heat, cold, dust, and/or other operational conditions.
