As an Order Picker on VED's evening shift, you are the first link in a chain that ends with cold product in the hands of customers across Virginia. You don't see the end result directly, but the delivery team does. The accounts do. And on a good night, when the orders go out clean and on time, the whole operation runs the way it's supposed to.\nOur warehouse associates work hard, move fast, and hold themselves to a high standard of accuracy. If you take pride in doing physical work well, thrive in a team environment that counts on you, and want to be part of a company that's been moving beverage across Virginia for decades - we want to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nPick and build delivery route orders using the EasyPick scanning system (handheld scanner and tablet), stacking cases accurately in layers for safe transport and clean delivery; pick sheets may be used as directed\nVerify order accuracy using EasyPick two-step scan verification; confirm case counts throughout the build and sign off on completed orders\nOperate electric walk-behind and walk/ride (walkie-rider) pallet jacks to move and stage completed orders\nOperate sit-down forklift as needed (certification required within 90 days of hire if not yet certified)\nAssist with loading delivery trucks at end of shift and perform end-of-shift warehouse cleanup\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with VED and OSHA standards\nCross-train in other warehouse functions and provide coverage as needed\nWhat We're Looking For\nAbility to lift and carry 15-40+ lbs repeatedly throughout a 10-15 hour shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and standing - this is a physically demanding role\nSharp attention to detail: accurate case counts and correct order builds are how we measure success\nBasic math skills: ability to count and verify case quantities throughout the shift\nAbility to safely operate electric pallet jacks; forklift certification a plus\nReliable attendance - your team depends on you showing up, every shift, on time\nComfortable working in a high-noise, temperature-controlled environment (approx. 50°F in the warehouse; outdoor temps in drive-thru areas)\nComposite-toe footwear required on day one\nWhat We Offer\nCompetitive hourly pay: $18.00-$22.00 (evening shift rate, includes $1.00/hr shift differential) Starting pay for new hires is typically at or near the range minimum.
