We offer a competitive package including relocation, annual flight allowance, medical insurance, end of service gratuity and a 4.5 day working week empowering staff wellbeing.\nThe successful candidates will be closely aligned with our core values and ethos and possess a genuine understanding and appreciation of the values of the region.\nMain Duties:\nTeach swimming lessons to all classes across the school, ensuring skill development and water safety.\nSupervise and manage the work of the swimming assistant to support effective lesson delivery.\nMaintain constant supervision of children in and around the pool to ensure their safety at all times.\nPlan and deliver engaging, structured swimming lessons tailored to different ages and abilities.\nOrganize and participate in swimming galas, competitions, and other sports-related events.\nLiaise with class teachers and classroom assistants regarding the care and supervision of children before, during, and after lessons.\nLead and run extra-curricular swimming programs for students.\nEnsure that a staff member is always present monitoring children in the water while lessons are in progress.\nSpecific Duties:\nPlan and deliver training programs tailored to different ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, fitness, and water safety.\nCoach and mentor students in swimming techniques, competition preparation, and goal-setting, promoting discipline and sportsmanship.\nMonitor and assess progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and school management.\nEnsure safety and wellbeing by enforcing pool rules, supervising activities, and responding to emergencies.\nOrganize competitions and events, managing logistics, equipment, and team participation.\nWider Professional responsibilities:\nMaintain clear and professional communication with students, classroom assistants, and teaching staff regarding lesson plans, progress, and safety.\nCoordinate with teachers and school staff to schedule lessons, extra-curricular activities, and events.\nProvide regular updates and feedback to colleagues about student performance and poolside supervision.\nLiaise with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and any safety concerns.\nCommunicate with external organizations, such as competition organizers, swimming federations, and health/safety authorities.\nPromote the school’s swimming programs, galas, and health initiatives to the wider community.\n Minimum Qualifications:\nUAE approved Swimming Coach Certificate\nFirst Aid Certificate and CPR knowledge\nMinimum Experience:\nTo be a competent instructor, able to support the needs of all learners. \nTo be qualified to teach swimming. \nTo be a qualified lifeguard.\nJob Specific Knowledge & Skills:\nExpertise in teaching swimming techniques and water safety to students of all ages and abilities.\nKnowledge of pool operations, risk management, and emergency procedures (NOP and EOP).\nAbility to plan, deliver, and assess structured lessons, competitions, and extra-curricular swimming programs.\nSkills in supervising, mentoring, and coordinating assistants while collaborating effectively with school staff and parents.\nAldar Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
