They are expected to develop nationally recognized research programs supported by external funding, disseminate their work in high-impact venues, and mentor both graduate and undergraduate students in research. Teaching responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate courses, curriculum development, and the use of effective and inclusive pedagogy. Tenure-Track Faculty also contribute to departmental, university, and professional service, consistent with Virginia Tech’s land-grant mission and commitment to Ut Prosim (“That I May Serve”).
