Reporting to the HPC Governance and Compliance Director, this role will support the management and optimization of software assets across the organization. You will play a key role in ensuring software license compliance, maintaining accurate inventories, supporting audits, and driving cost optimization initiatives.\nThis position works closely with sourcing, procurement, IT operations, and business stakeholders to ensure software assets are effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nSoftware Asset and License Management\nMaintain and manage software asset inventory and license records.\n\nAdminister software licenses, including terms and conditions, usage rules, restrictions, and product associations.\n\nAssociate purchases, subscriptions, and renewals with corresponding licenses within the Software Asset Management (SAM) tool.\n\nSupport administration and maintenance of the SAM platform, including upgrades, interfaces, and troubleshooting.\n\nCollect and reconcile software installation data to determine compliance positions.\n\nManage inventory collection processes, beacons, subnets, device information, and collaborate with IT Operations to resolve inventory issues.\n\nMonitor and maintain the overall health of the Software Asset Management environment.\n\nReporting and Analysis\nDesign and generate reports to monitor software compliance, liabilities, and budgetary information.\n\nAnalyze exception reports and investigate licensing risks.\n\nProvide recommendations and remediation plans to address compliance concerns.\n\nLicensing Support and Cost Optimization\nSupport sourcing teams and business stakeholders with software renewals and maintenance agreements.\n\nEnsure payments align with contractual commitments and avoid unnecessary fees or service disruptions.\n\nIdentify underutilized software (\"shelfware\") and recommend opportunities for license reuse or cancellation.\n\nDrive cost savings through rationalization, license recycling, and optimized licensing practices.\n\nCoordinate software compliance remediation activities and communicate risks to stakeholders.\n\nGovernance and Continuous Improvement\nSupport the ongoing improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).\n\nEnsure software management practices comply with internal policies and external standards.\n\nMaintain documentation and process records.\n\nAssist with internal and external audits and certification efforts.\n\nContribute to software vulnerability management and intellectual property protection initiatives.\n\nQualifications\nEducation and Experience\nAssociate degree or equivalent technical certification in Information Technology or a related field.\n\nMinimum one year of experience in IT, software asset management, procurement, or a related discipline.\n\nUnderstanding of Software Asset Management principles and lifecycle processes.\n\nExperience with software inventory tools and asset management platforms; Flexera experience is highly desirable.\n\nFamiliarity with IT environments and information security concepts.\n\nExperience creating and maintaining technical or procedural documentation.\n\nDesired Technical Knowledge\nExperience with one or more of the following is preferred:\nFlexera\nSoftware inventory and discovery tools\nOracle databases\nAsset management and compliance reporting tools\nSkills and Competencies\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.\n\nExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.\n\nAbility to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.\n\nSelf-motivated with strong time-management skills.\n\nCollaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across global teams.\n\nStrong communication, writing, and presentation skills.\n\nComfortable working with international stakeholders.\n\nFluent in English.\n\nOur Hiring Process\nAt Viridien, we are committed to delivering a respectful, inclusive, and transparent recruitment experience.\nDue to the high volume of applications we receive, we may not be able to provide individual feedback to every applicant.
