Location can be flexible, working a mix of from home and onsite as required. The working pattern will be Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week.\nWe encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible as we may close vacancies early if we receive a high number of applications.\nYou will lead the day-to-day delivery of an efficient, responsive and high-quality HR service across the business. The HR Manager will lead a team of two HR Administrators, ensuring employee and manager queries are resolved effectively, HR administration is delivered accurately, employee relations cases are managed appropriately, and meaningful people metrics are produced.\nWorking closely with HR Business Partners, the role will provide operational HR support that enables HRBPs to focus on business partnering, organisational priorities and strategic people activity.\nResponsibilties\nHR Service Delivery\nLead the day-to-day HR service, ensuring employee and manager queries are handled promptly, professionally and consistently.\nManage and develop the two HR Administrators, setting clear priorities and service standards.\nEnsure HR processes and administration are accurate, timely and compliant with company policies and UK employment requirements.\nAct as the escalation point for more complex HR queries.\nEmployee Relations & Case Management\nProvide practical HR advice and case management support to managers.\nManage employee relations cases including absence, performance, conduct, grievance and other employee matters.\nCoach managers through HR processes, ensuring appropriate documentation and consistent application of policy.\nEscalate complex, sensitive or higher-risk cases to the HRBP or appropriate specialist where required.\nHRBP Support\nWork closely with HRBPs to provide day-to-day operational support across their business areas.\nTake ownership of routine operational HR activity, allowing HRBPs to maintain greater focus on workforce planning, talent, organisational effectiveness and business priorities.\nSupport organisational changes and other people initiatives with administration, data and implementation activity.\nIdentify recurring employee or manager issues and highlight emerging themes to HRBPs.\nPeople Data, Reporting & Metrics\nProduce regular HR dashboards and management information covering areas such as headcount, absence, turnover, employee relations cases and other agreed people measures.\nAnalyse trends and highlight areas requiring HRBP or management attention.\nEnsure HR information and records are accurate and maintained appropriately.\nSupport improvements to HR reporting, processes and data quality.\nContinuous Improvement\nReview HR processes and identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve the employee and manager experience.\nDevelop guidance, templates and tools that enable managers to handle routine people matters effectively.\nSupport the ongoing development of HR systems and self-service processes.\nEnsure clear ownership and effective hand-offs between HR Administration, HRBPs and specialist People teams.\nAbout you:\nEssential\nStrong generalist HR experience in a busy, operational environment.\nExperience managing employee relations cases independently.\nGood working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.\nExperience advising and coaching line managers.\nStrong HR data, reporting and analytical capability.\nExperience managing, supervising or developing an HR/People administration team.\nAbility to prioritise multiple cases and activities in a fast-paced environment.\nConfident working with HR systems and Microsoft Excel/reporting tools.\nDesirable\nCIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.\nExperience supporting a multi-site workforce.\nExperience working within a shared-service, People Operations or HRBP operating model.\nSkills & Behaviours\nCustomer and employee focused\nPragmatic and solutions orientated\nStrong judgement and discretion\nConfident communicator and manager coach\nOrganised with strong attention to detail\nComfortable challenging constructively\nData driven and commercially aware\nCollaborative approach with HRBPs and specialist People teams\nAble to balance pace of delivery with appropriate HR governance\nHow to apply\nClick apply at the bottom of the page and you will be asked to create a profile.
