We encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible as we may close vacancies early if we receive a high number of applications.\nAbout the role\nAs our Safety & Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for the management and monitoring of Health & Safety systems, procedures and safe systems of work at site level. You'll be responsible for maintaining compliance with Viridor management systems and support compliance with environmental permits or licenses.\nImplementing policy and procedure to deliver a highly compliant, quality led environment with safety at its core, you'll actively monitor, maintain and manage health and safety risks assessments, SSOW and method statements to ensure best practice and prevention of incidents and accidents.\nclosely with the Plant Manager and site team, you'll support the development of the plant to maintain high productivity whilst ensuring a no compromise approach with regards to health, safety and environmental compliance at all times.\nWhat are we looking for?\nA hands on safety professional with experience in industrial settings. Experience of an energy from waste facility would be advantageous and preferable\n\nRelevant experience within a highly regulated and compliance focussed environment\n\nStrong leadership skills to lead and develop a new team in a start-up scenario with a no compromise approach to health, safety compliance.
