Join us on our mission to reverse metabolic disease in one billion people.\nThis role sits on Virta’s Commercial Analytics team and will focus on the analytics that help Virta measure and communicate value to clients. You will partner closely with Client Success, Commercial, Finance, Product, and Analytics teams to ensure Virta’s value is measured accurately, communicated clearly, and used to strengthen client relationships and inform strategy. This is a hands-on role centered on executing recurring measurement and reporting workflows while improving the underlying systems that support Virta’s growing client base. You will also collaborate with Client Product teams to streamline workflows, strengthen measurement frameworks, and translate commercial needs into product and analytics solutions.\nResponsibilities\nDeliver Commercial Analytics: Execute recurring and ad hoc analyses across client reporting, performance guarantees, dashboards, and other commercial priorities.\n\nMeasure Client Value: Develop a strong understanding of Virta’s value model and apply its measurement frameworks to accurately calculate, validate, and communicate client outcomes.\n\nTurn Data Into Strategy: Build dashboards and analyses that surface trends, answer business questions, and inform client and commercial decision-making.\n\nPartner With Stakeholders: Work directly with Client Success and cross-functional partners to translate complex questions into clear analytical approaches, insights, and client-ready narratives.\n\nBuild for Scale: Strengthen metric definitions, documentation, data quality, and repeatable workflows while using automation and AI to improve speed and reliability.\n\n90 Day Plan\nWithin your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:\nFirst 30 days\nDevelop a strong understanding of Virta’s commercial model, client value frameworks, products, and core analytics workflows\n\nReview existing client reports, dashboards, performance-guarantee calculations, and metric definitions\n\nBuild relationships across Analytics, Client Success, and Product\n\nBegin supporting recurring reporting cycles while learning systems and expectations\n\nDays 31-60\nBegin owning one recurring commercial analytics workflow, ensuring deliverables are accurate, timely, and clearly communicated\n\nSupport client-specific analyses and begin participating in stakeholder and client-facing conversations\n\nIdentify opportunities to improve dashboards, documentation, data quality, or workflow efficiency\n\nDays 61-90\nIndependently manage multiple commercial analytics workflows from question definition through final delivery\n\nDeliver an improvement that increases the scalability, reliability, or usefulness of an existing analysis or reporting process\n\nUse analytical findings to provide a clear recommendation or insight that supports a Product or Commercial decision\n\nMust-Haves\n3-5 years of experience in a business analyst, analytics, or data-focused role\n\nStrong SQL skills to explore data, validate metrics, and support rigorous, audit-ready outputs\n\nAbility to define metrics clearly and ensure consistency through documentation and governance\n\nSystems-oriented mindset with a track record of improving or automating repeatable processes\n\nStrong communication skills, with experience translating complex data into clear insights for internal and external audiences\n\nYou Would Benefit From Having\nExperience building dashboards in BI tools (e.g., Looker or similar)\n\nExperience supporting client-facing analytics or value reporting\n\nFamiliarity with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, data modeling concepts, version-controlled analytics workflows)\n\nValues-driven culture\nVirta’s company values drive our culture, so you’ll do well if:\nYou put people first and take care of yourself, your peers, and our patients equally\n\nYou have a strong sense of ownership and take initiative while empowering others to do the same\n\nYou prioritize positive impact over busy work\n\nYou have no ego and understand that everyone has something to bring to the table regardless of experience\n\nYou appreciate transparency and promote trust and empowerment through open access of information\n\nYou are evidence-based and prioritize data and science over seniority or dogma\n\nYou take risks and rapidly iterate\n\nIs this role not quite what you're looking for? Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $96,000 - $138,500 per year.
