We work with companies on complex technology initiatives spanning cloud infrastructure, engineering, data, AI, and cost optimization.\nThe Role\nWe’re looking for a hands-on Growth Lead to own and execute Virtasant’s search-driven growth strategy across SEO, SEM, and emerging AI search channels, including GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and GEM (Generative Engine Marketing).\nThis is not a role for someone who only develops strategy or manages agencies. We need someone who has personally built and executed successful growth campaigns and can demonstrate the business results they generated.\nYour goal is straightforward: generate qualified B2B leads, pipeline, and measurable revenue from search and AI-driven discovery channels.\nYou’ll own the full search growth motion, from identifying opportunities and building the strategy to executing campaigns, optimizing content and landing pages, measuring attribution, and continuously improving performance.\nThe initial engagement will be a 3-month project, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.\nWhat You’ll Own\nDevelop and execute an integrated search growth strategy across SEO, SEM, and AI-driven search.\n\nBuild, manage, and optimize paid search campaigns, particularly Google Ads, with a focus on qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue.\n\nIdentify high-intent search opportunities relevant to cloud, AI, data, FinOps, and technology consulting buyers.\n\nOwn keyword research, search intent analysis, competitive research, and content/search opportunity identification.\n\nExecute on-page SEO and work through technical SEO issues affecting organic performance.\n\nOptimize existing content, landing pages, and conversion paths to turn search demand into qualified opportunities.\n\nIdentify and test opportunities to improve Virtasant’s visibility across generative and AI search experiences.\n\nRun ongoing experiments across messaging, keywords, landing pages, campaigns, and acquisition channels.\n\nBuild measurement and attribution from search → lead → qualified opportunity → revenue.\n\nEstablish performance baselines and use metrics such as qualified leads, conversion, CPL/CPA, pipeline, revenue, and ROAS to determine what should be scaled or changed.\n\nMonitor performance and make hands-on adjustments based on results rather than simply reporting metrics.\n\nPartner directly with leadership on growth priorities and opportunities.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nProven track record of personally building and executing B2B search or growth campaigns with measurable commercial results, such as qualified leads, opportunities, pipeline, revenue, CAC/CPA, or ROAS.\n\nStrong hands-on experience across SEO and SEM, including personally executing and optimizing Google Ads and organic search programs.\n\nExperience connecting search and acquisition activity to downstream sales outcomes through analytics, CRM, and attribution.\n\nExperience generating B2B demand in businesses with longer, higher-value sales cycles.\n\nExperience in cloud, technology consulting, IT services, professional services, enterprise software, or a closely related B2B technology environment strongly preferred.\n\nUnderstanding of GEO, AI search, LLM discovery, and how generative search is changing traditional search behavior.\n\nStrong knowledge of the Google search ecosystem and relevant analytics and measurement tools.\n\nAbility to identify growth opportunities independently and execute without requiring a large team or agency.\n\nComfortable moving between strategy, analysis, experimentation, and hands-on implementation.\n\nStrong commercial mindset: success is measured by qualified leads, pipeline, and revenue-not traffic, rankings, or visibility
