You will work closely with our CFO, Finance Management and the wider Finance team, supporting our control, compliance and reporting agenda across the group. This role offers a real seat at the table, plenty of room to take ownership, and ample opportunity to grow.\n\nWhat this assignment looks like\n\nAs Interim Financial Controller, you’ll work closely with our CFO, Finance Management and the wider Finance team on our control, compliance and reporting agenda. This is a hands-on role with clear priorities. We need someone who can quickly understand our setup, take ownership and deliver within a defined timeframe.\n\nWhat you will own\n\n Strengthen and improve internal controls so our financial data is accurate, reliable and auditable\n\n Support tax compliance (VAT, ICP, CIT) and statutory filings together with our advisors\n\n Own AR and revenue control, including reconciliations, revenue recognition and billing accuracy\n\n Run and tighten key reconciliations (AR, intercompany, bank) and balance sheet substantiation\n\n Contribute to monthly close and audit preparation (journal entries, PBC, schedules, walkthroughs)\n\n Spot gaps quickly, streamline processes and drive automation across NetSuite, Salesforce and Stripe\n\n Document processes and hand over cleanly, so improvements last beyond your assignment\n\nWhat you will bring\n\n 5+ years of experience in financial control, accounting or audit (Big 4 and/or industry)\n\n Previous interim or freelance experience, with a track record of adding value fast\n\n A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field\n\n Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS)\n\n Hands-on experience with tax (VAT/ICP, CIT) and revenue/AR processes\n\n Proven ability to improve controls, processes or reporting (e.g. automations, reconciliations, system improvements)\n\n Fluency in Dutch (native level) and English. This is a hard requirement.\n\n Availability on short notice, for 3–6 months\n\n Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite, Salesforce or Stripe is a strong advantage\n\n You take ownership, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and don’t need much ramp-up time to be effective\n\nImportant note: please do apply if you meet 70%+ of the criteria.
