production incidents, and paying down technical debt\nTechnical Strategy & Platform Management\nMonitor Shopify for API version releases, deprecations, and sunsets to analyse the potential impact on apps and clients\nAnticipate and mitigate technical risks such as API limits or review requirements to accurately estimate delivery timelines\nApply SEO and AEO best practices to ensure apps and storefront code positively impact crawling, indexing, and site speed\nTroubleshoot client websites and app data flows for tracking accuracy across platforms like Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager\nProject Coordination & Communication\nCollaborate with global web development teams across different time zones on code reviews and release coordination\nCommunicate progress, blockers, and technical insights to internal project managers and stakeholders\nContribute to project scoping and record requirements, architecture decisions, and risks\nUtilise AI coding assistants and automation tools responsibly to improve development efficiency without compromising security\nRequirements\nMinimum 4 years of professional software development experience\nMinimum 2 years of experience building and shipping production Shopify apps\nAdvanced proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and React\nStrong understanding of SQL and relational database design\nDemonstrated experience with Shopify CLI, React Router, App Bridge, and Polaris\nSolid working knowledge of GraphQL, REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, and Webhooks\nExperience with legacy Shopify development including Liquid and Online Store
