completed projects highlighting your contributions.\n\nStrong eye for visual design, interaction, and user experience highlighting thoughtful hierarchy, spacing, states, and the details most people skip.\n\nSolid UX, UI, and accessibility fundamentals.\n\nFluency operating within design standards and design systems.\n\nAbility to clearly communicate, explain, and defend design decisions.\n\nWillingness to reflect on past projects and identify how you would improve them.\n\nReceptiveness to feedback and new ideas.\n\nWhat are our preferred requirements\nExperience designing data-dense, analytical, or enterprise software interfaces.\n\nExposure to AI or LLM-powered products, conversational UI, or agentic workflows.\n\nComfort using AI tools such as Claude and Figma Make as part of your everyday design and prototyping practice.\n\nWorking knowledge of front-end concepts such as components, tokens, states, and responsive behavior, sufficient to collaborate credibly with engineers.\n\nInterest in working on defense and government-related projects.\n\nEligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.\n\nWhat are some valued skills\nDesign system contribution and documentation.\n\nUnderstanding of interaction and motion design for conversational interfaces.\n\nComprehension of information architecture and user flow mapping.\n\nKnowledge of accessibility (WCAG) fundamentals.\n\nPrototyping in code or with AI tooling.\n\nClear written communication and design
