The role combines strong Java/Spring Boot development with cloud engineering, containerization, CI/CD, and platform automation to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance applications on AWS.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot.\n\n- Develop and integrate robust RESTful APIs and backend services.\n\n- Design, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure and application environments on AWS.\n\n- Containerize applications using Docker and deploy/manage workloads on Kubernetes.\n\n- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.\n\n- Automate infrastructure and application deployment processes using appropriate cloud and DevOps tools.\n\n- Monitor application and infrastructure performance and troubleshoot deployment, availability, scalability, and performance issues.\n\n- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure, and deployment environments.\n\n- Optimize Java applications and cloud infrastructure for performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.\n\n- Work closely with software engineers, architects, DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver cloud-native solutions.\n\n- Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices for production environments.\n\n- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.\n\n- Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, automation, and operational processes.\n\nRequirements :\n\n- 5 - 10 years of experience in Java development, cloud engineering, or platform engineering.\n\n- Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot.\n\n- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API development.\n\n- Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases.\n\n- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application deployment.\n\n- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.\n\n- Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, security, monitoring, and troubleshooting.\n\n- Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools would be an advantage.\n\n- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues.\n\n- Good understanding of secure software development and cloud security practices.\n\n- Experience with ReactJS would be an advantage.\n\n- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.\n\nSkills\nJava, Spring Boot, AWS, RESTful, Microservices Architecture, Cloud, Docker","description_format":"text","description_chars":2904,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T18:04:06Z"}],"liveness":{"score":54,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":0.85,"p_active":0.702,"p_room":0.9,"age_days":15,"expected_fill_days":23,"reasons":["seen:15","velocity","win:mid"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/virtusa-java-cloud-platform-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/virtusa-java-cloud-platform-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T02:04:27Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":1689,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":3311,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
