The role combines AI/GenAI engineering, Snowflake, DBT, data engineering, and agentic workflow orchestration, with a strong focus on automating data product discovery, impact analysis, development, testing, and deployment.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python, DBT, Cortex AI, LLM integration, RAG, and agentic frameworks, along with a solid understanding of enterprise data product architectures.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n\n- Design, develop, and maintain agentic workflows that automate the data engineering lifecycle.\n\n- Build and enhance agentic solutions using the Snowflake CoCo harness/CLI and related orchestration frameworks.\n\n- Integrate LLMs, Snowflake Cortex AI models, and orchestration logic to automate discovery, impact analysis, development, testing, and deployment activities.\n\n- Develop Specification-Driven Development (SDD) capabilities using machine-readable instructions for data products and engineering workflows.\n\n- Collaborate with Data Engineers to identify manual engineering activities and convert them into scalable, autonomous agentic workflows.\n\n- Support the end-to-end data engineering lifecycle, including Discover, Build, Test, and Deploy.\n\n- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade data products and datasets optimized for downstream consumption.\n\n- Work with SQL Stored Procedures, DBT models, and DataOps.Live (DOL) as part of the core engineering layer.\n\n- Contribute to automated data engineering frameworks covering ingestion through deployment.\n\n- Ensure agentic solutions and engineering components meet quality, reliability, security, and governance standards.\n\n- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AI workflows, data pipelines, DBT models, SQL, and orchestration components.\n\n- Collaborate with Data Engineering, AI/ML, platform, and governance teams to drive adoption of autonomous engineering practices.\n\n- Design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise data architecture and EDO governance standards.\n\nRequirements : \n\n- 4 - 9 years of experience in Data Engineering, AI/GenAI Engineering, or related technology roles, with strong hands-on engineering experience.\n\n- Strong experience with Snowflake and its ecosystem, including Cortex AI and integrated platform services.\n\n- Hands-on experience with advanced SQL, Python, and DBT.\n\n- Strong understanding of Data Engineering lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, testing, deployment, and orchestration.\n\n- Experience developing or maintaining agentic AI workflows and AI-driven automation frameworks.\n\n- Strong understanding of LLM integration, Cortex AI models, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts.\n\n- Experience with agentic frameworks or technologies such as CoCo CLI and Model Context Protocol (MCP).\n\n- Hands-on experience with DBT models, SQL Stored Procedures, and DataOps.Live (DOL).\n\n- Strong understanding of enterprise data product architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.\n\n- Experience building and managing enterprise-grade data products and datasets.\n\n- Ability to translate manual data engineering processes into automated and agentic engineering patterns.\n\n- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, reliability, and engineering best practices.\n\n- Good collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with Data Engineering and AI/ML teams.\nSkills\nSnowflake DB, Data Build Tool, Python, SQL, LLM, RAG, Agentic AI, Artificial Intelligence, Data Quality, Data Governance, DataOps","description_format":"text","description_chars":3718,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":4,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-25T18:04:06Z"}],"liveness":{"score":43,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":0.85,"p_active":0.672,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":15,"expected_fill_days":17,"reasons":["seen:15","velocity","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-09-30T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/virtusa-snowflake-dbt-cortex-ai-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/virtusa-snowflake-dbt-cortex-ai-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T04:53:08Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":4441,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":559,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
