Beyond professional development, enjoy social events that foster community and connection.\nThe program culminates in a final presentation, where you’ll share your project achievements and recommendations with Visa leaders-a chance to demonstrate impact and growth.\nAs a Sophomore intern program Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to Visa's technology teams by taking on meaningful work aligned with your passions and career goals.\nSome job duties and projects could include:\nSelf-serve deployment of Kafka clusters using Docker and Kubernetes\nDeveloping a natural language Chatbot for knowledge base searches\nPrototyping solutions for automated payments at gas stations\nAutomating processes using low latency algorithms\nEnhancing Visa Checkout usability across platforms\nCreating testing tools to identify system errors\nBuilding visual monitoring tools to detect transactional issues\nDesigning, coding, and testing software solutions for routing digital currency transactions\nDeveloping an app factory for mobile banking apps\nSupporting full software lifecycle activities and learning secure coding practices\nRemember, at Visa, we see our employees as our most valuable asset and we are excited to support and witness your growth within our organization.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nPursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business or a related field\nGraduating December 2028 - August 2029\nAbility to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProficiency in one or more languages: Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, HTML\nExperience with automation/testing tools such as Selenium, REST, Python, Groovy\nFamiliarity with software testing principles\nStrong understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies\nAbility to document processes and perform analysis\nProblem-solving and analytical skills\nAbility to lead and handle ambiguity effectively\nCollaborative and team-oriented mindset\nMotivated, resourceful, and focused on achieving results\nWork Authorization: Visa will not sponsor applicants for work visas in connection with this position.
