Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nCloud FinOps analyst will be leading the cloud cost management across 10 different entities (including Visa) and any additional M&A entities.They will help with identifying and implementing different cost optimization opportunities across entire footprint and resource utilization tracking for various cloud services.Key stakeholders include all M&A Entities Engineering & Finance teams, Visa engineering, architecture, and finance teams for implementation of optimizations and executives for alignment on cloud & AI strategy and governance.They will help in defining AI governance (AI usage, cost tracking, efficiency analysis, monthly and daily reporting of costs and drivers).\nJob Description:\nWe are seeking an experienced Cloud FinOps Analyst to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for leading and implementing cloud & AI cost management and optimization strategies. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient cloud resource utilization, cost tracking, and identifying opportunities for cost savings within our cloud infrastructure, measuring & understanding AI usage across the organization. You will have knowledge of multiple cloud service providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle Cloud, AI tools and LLM providers etc.) and work with various technology teams to monitor and optimize resources on each platform.\nResponsibilities:\nCost Analysis: Analyze cloud usage and cost trends, identify cost drivers, and provide actionable recommendations for cost optimization.\nOptimization strategies: Develop and implement strategies for optimizing cloud resources, including right-sizing of compute, storage, database, and other services, utilizing cost-effective services.\nBudget Management: Work closely with project teams to establish and manage cloud budgets, ensuring alignment with organization OKRs, implement effective cost management and optimization strategies. Develop and maintain financial models for cloud cost allocation. Set and Track budgets as per business unit requirements (by Account, by Project, by cost centers etc.).\nForecasting: Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast future cloud & AI usage and costs for existing workloads and new projects/applications which can be moved from on-premises datacenters to cloud, providing insights in budget planning and resource allocation. Monitor and report on cloud expenses, forecast future costs.\nVendor Negotiation: Engage with Cloud service providers to negotiate favorable pricing and contractual terms to optimize costs.\nPolicy Development: Establish and enforce cloud & AI cost management policies, guidelines, and best practices across organization.\nContinuous monitoring: Implement monitoring mechanisms to track cloud & AI costs in real time and proactively address anomalies and deviations from budgetary expectations.\nReporting: Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate cost-related insights, trends, and recommendations to management and relevant stakeholders.\nStay updated: Keep abreast of industry trends, new cloud services, and pricing models to ensure the organization remains cost effective and competitive.\nThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.\n\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.Qualifications\nBasic Qualifications2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience\nPreferred Qualifications\n3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)\nMaster’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field.\n4+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in a technology or cloud computing environment.\nProven experience in cloud cost management and optimization with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role.\nStrong understanding of cloud pricing, cost structures, and billing models.\nProficient in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.\nStrong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.\nProficiency in data analysis tools and software.\nCertification in Cloud FinOps or related field.\nExperience with cloud cost management tools.\n• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and other Microsoft Office applications.\n\nInformation for US Applicants\nFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $94,400.00 to $ 146,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
