Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nJob Summary:\nDirectors in Product Development/Management at Visa are responsible for leading the development, commercialization, and optimization of technology products within the payments ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in product strategy, design, and execution, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that address customer needs and drive business growth. Directors operate in complex, matrixed environments, collaborating across functions to define product goals, manage lifecycles, and ensure successful launches and ongoing enhancements.\nThe position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a proven track record of recruiting, growing, and retaining technical talent. Directors are expected to drive consensus in cross-functional teams, forecast business trends, and translate insights into agile technology solutions. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential for influencing stakeholders and building credibility across regional and functional lines.\nAll roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDefine and execute the Philippines Digital Solutions strategy across key growth areas including digital credentials, tokenization, wallets, authentication, digital acceptance, and emerging digital payment solutions.\nIdentify market opportunities and develop product strategies, business cases, commercialization plans, and go-to-market initiatives that drive revenue growth and client adoption.\nLead end-to-end execution from strategy development and client engagement through implementation, launch, adoption, and performance optimization.\nPartner with issuers, acquirers, fintechs, merchants, wallets, payment facilitators, and ecosystem partners to accelerate deployment and scale of digital payment solutions.\nServe as the subject matter expert for Visa's digital product suite, providing strategic advisory and implementation guidance to clients and internal stakeholders.\nLead market implementation and compliance of Visa mandates, operating regulations, rules changes, security standards, and digital payment requirements, partnering closely with clients to ensure timely readiness and execution.\nCollaborate closely with Sales, Client Services, Technology, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and Regional Product teams to deliver strategic initiatives and resolve complex implementation challenges.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD.\nExperience in creating vision statements and setting product goals.\nExperience in defining product strategy.\nExperience in product design.\nExperience in customer discovery and the design of new products based on that discovery.\nExperience in product execution.\nExperience in defining and leading plans to achieve product goals.\nExperience working in Agile frameworks and matrixed organizations.\nExperience in process or core banking best practices.\nExperience recruiting, growing, retaining, and leading technical talent.\nExperience collaborating in global, cross-functional teams.\nStrong commercial acumen and ability to forecast business trends.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD.\nSenior product management experience in Digital, Payments, and Financial Services.\nProven track record of launching and managing digital products for issuers.\nDeep background in issuing institutions and managing large card portfolios.\nExperience in developing or launching new solutions and managing engagement, UX, and UI transformation.\nExperience leading difficult deal negotiations and managing third-party vendors.\nAbility to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes.\nSuperior analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual rigor.\nExperience managing diverse teams with positive records.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
