Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, digital marketing and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.\nThe VCA team provides a comprehensive range of consulting services to deliver solutions that address unique challenges in areas such as improving profitability, strategic growth, customer experience, digital payments and running risk.\nYou will join our consulting team and play a role in delivering and implementing high impact projects and solutions within Financial Institutions/Issuing Banks, Enablers, Processors, Merchants and Co-Brands. This is an individual contributor role reporting into the Sr. Director, Strategy & Operations within VC&A.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop a robust pipeline of opportunities per client, focusing on business development\nContinuously review market and competitive landscape, identifying opportunities and strategies that will position Visa as the market leader.\nProactively engage with Visa internal teams in regular strategic & planning discussions \nLeads consulting initiatives and contributes to closing engagement by identifying potential opportunities with Issuing Bank Partners. \nDevelop frameworks, approaches, solutions, and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges. \nCollaborate cross-functionally (marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that use the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources \nProduce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities across the verticals and segments \nAbility to reliably manipulate and analyze large data sets (industry and Visa) to identify meanings insights and recommendations for clients \nBuild new scalable solutions, toolkits, standard methodology documents and consulting approach that can be applied across VCA practice \nLead multiple consulting engagements from strategy definition through recommendations, ensuring insights are clear, actionable, and tailored to executive audiences. \nSpecific Responsibilities include:\nProactively engage with consulting and client leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of analytic work.\nDevelop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.\nPartner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, innovation) to implement projects in ways that maximize the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.\nProduce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities.\nParticipate in the sales process to qualify opportunities and, using a consultative approach, guide clients to the correct engagement type to address their needs.\nDevelop engagement pitches, draft proposals and in coordination with account executives secure new consulting assignments with clients.\nDeliver consulting engagements, including managing the team of consultants, resolving complex strategic problems, synthesizing recommendations, preparing and delivering client presentations, managing complex project structures.\nManage various systems of record for pricing approvals, internal routing, legal/funding approvals, and accurate revenue recognition.\nDevelop and deliver client-ready presentations in collaboration with junior and senior resources on the team.\nLead advisory initiatives and be the main source of strategic insight and direction to the team.\nUse data to manage risks and uncover improvement opportunities.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n10 years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD\nPreferred Qualifications\n12-15 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD\nPrevious experience at large management consulting firm or US Financial Institution\nStrong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical difficulty\nConsulting experience gained within either a consulting firm, or an in-house strategy function of a financial institution.\nComfortable interacting with and presenting to senior management of clients and Visa.\nCommunicate effectively - through empathy and active listening, the ideal candidate will be skilled at understanding his or her audience and able to structure a compelling argument accordingly, skilled at using PowerPoint, data visualization, and pyramid-principle storytelling to help clients make the best, fact-based decisions for their business.\nHighly collaborative nature with experience working with geographically distributed teams.\nCustomize recommendations for clients and integrate Visa/Visa as a Service (VAS) synergies.\n\nInformation for US Applicants\nFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $164,900 to $310,000 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
