Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nRole Summary:\nThe Consultant Specialist, Client Success Manager is a client-facing individual contributor role, acting as a subject-matter expert across client operations, execution, and performance optimization for Sponsor Bank clients and their fintech ecosystems.\nThis role supports complex payments environments, enabling new capabilities, driving product adoption, and optimizing client performance across multi-party sponsorship models. The Sr. Consultant brings strong technical and operational expertise and works closely with cross-functional Visa teams to ensure executional excellence and measurable client outcomes.\nThe role partners closely with Account Teams across Client Services, Sales, Product, Operations, and Risk to drive Client Success outcomes aligned with Visa’s strategic priorities. In addition, the role contributes to shaping scalable support and implementation approaches that improve client experience and operational efficiency across the Sponsor Bank segment.\nThis position is based in Toronto and reports to the NA Sponsor Banks Segment Director.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead implementation and adoption of Visa products, coordinating Client and Visa teams to accelerate time to value.\nUnderstand client goals and success metrics and proactively monitor product adoption, performance, and overall client health.\nBuild trusted client relationships and execute Client Success Plans in alignment with the Account Team.\nOrchestrate cross-functional Visa teams to resolve complex issues, optimize client performance, and support major escalations when needed.\nDrive client readiness and engagement through operational reviews, education, training, self-service tools, and communication of key Visa changes.\nIdentify opportunities to improve client outcomes by leveraging Visa solutions, industry knowledge, and insights into client pain points.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.\nExperience analyzing data and translating findings into actionable business recommendations.\nExperience in using standard Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word).\nExperience in representing technical and/or business issues and solutions to influence audiences at multiple levels of an organization.\nExperience in communicating complex technical terms and/or processes in business language tailored to client.\nExperience in building client relationships and creating trust-based relations.\nExperience in success planning and building measurable action plans to help clients achieve their business goals.\nExperience in client engagement and communicating clearly and effectively with clients.\nExperience in prioritizing and multi-tasking under deadlines.\nExperience in monitoring client health and liaising with specialist teams as needed.\nKnowledge of the payment industry (i.e., trends, threats, competitors, regulatory environments).\nPreferred Qualifications:\n6 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.\nCertifications or qualifications in Client/Customer Success, project management or related areas of practice and expertise.\nExperience in becoming customer centric by listening to and prioritizing customer needs to drive value realization and build trusted partnerships.\nExperience in proactiveness by thinking ahead and taking action.\nExperience in critical thinking by taking ownership over problems and finding creative solutions to complex problems.\nExperience in supporting development of client education and training materials (including webinars) to communicate new Visa Rules, essential mandates, Visa Business Enhancement Releases and/or upcoming changes to ensure client readiness and service compliance.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
