Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nWe are seeking a Risk Manager to support the implementation of collateral arrangements with Acquirers, as well as the ongoing monitoring of related financial and operational risk controls, contributing to the robustness of the company’s risk mitigation processes.\nThis professional will be responsible for monitoring the sufficiency, formalization, and validity of guarantees; supporting contract management; preparing management reports and presentations; and ensuring an efficient flow of information with clients and internal teams.\nThe position requires an analytical mindset, strong organizational skills, the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders, and the capability to transform information into analyses and executive materials that support decision-making.\nEssential Functions:\nImplement collateral structures with clients in accordance with applicable rules, analyzing the characteristics and vulnerabilities of each business model while focusing on relevant aspects for risk mitigation within the payment scheme.\nMonitor collateral structures linked to clients and counterparties, statements/systems, tracking sufficiency, eligibility, maturity dates, formalization, and adherence to internal policies.\nControl and monitor collateral agreements, ensuring they are up to date, properly formalized, and compliant with regulatory and internal requirements.\nManage the collateral lifecycle, including creation, renewal, replacement, reinforcement, release, and enforcement, when applicable.\nPrepare periodic reports and management presentations with risk indicators, guarantee positions, relevant exposures, maturity dates, and key areas of attention to support governance and decision-making.\nConsolidate and analyze financial and operational information to identify potential risk deterioration, needs for additional collateral, or deviations from defined parameters.\nMaintain the flow of information with clients by submitting requests, following up, and collecting documents, collateral, and other information required for the monitoring process.\nInteract with internal areas such as Risk, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Finance to align information, address contractual matters, and implement mitigating actions.\nSupport the development and maintenance of controls, dashboards, and monitoring indicators, contributing to a preventive and structured view of the portfolio.\nMonitor exceptions, breaches, and risk events, proposing action plans and escalation when necessary.\nContribute to the enhancement of policies, procedures, and processes related to risk and collateral management.\nSupport internal and external audits, as well as regulatory requests, by organizing information and evidence related to contracts and guarantee structures.\nVisa requiresat least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\n8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD\nPreferred Qualifications:\n9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Risk Management, Engineering or a related field.\nPrevious experience in credit risk, financial risk, guarantee controls, structured transactions, credit back office, or related areas.\nProficiency in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools to increase productivity, support analyses, review information, structure presentations, and optimize recurring activities.\nStrong understanding of settlement risk, exposure management, and risk mitigation tools.\nExperience working with Acquirers or Payment Facilitator\nStrong analytical skills, attention to detail, and control mindset.\nExcellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders across regions.\nKnowledge of collateral monitoring, document analysis, and contract management.\nExperience interacting with clients and internal teams to follow up on pending items and manage information flows.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.\nAbility and willingness to take initiative on new projects and work well in a team environment\nExperience in Issuer, Acquirer, Processor or Register companies.\nKnowledge of the four-party model.\nKnowledge of collateral instruments such as bonds, receivables, escrow accounts, or other financial collateral.\nExperience with risk control, contract, or collateral management systems.\nKnowledge of regulations applicable to the financial and payments environment.\nBe analytical, organized, accurate and detail-oriented with fact-based discipline\nFluent, both written and verbal, in Portuguese and English.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
