Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nJob Description\nThe Senior Manager, Business Development plays a critical role in driving Visa's growth agenda across Australia by identifying, originating and converting net-new growth opportunities across Visa Consumer and Commercial Issuing.\nThis newly created role reflects Visa's continued investment in business development and new client acquisition and complements Visa's existing Business Development capability.\nThe role is responsible for developing new revenue streams through Visa's core issuing capabilities (credit, debit and prepaid) while originating and accelerating broader Value Added Services opportunities across Risk & Identity, Loyalty & Engagement, Issuer Processing (Pismo), Consulting & Analytics, Data and Money Movement solutions\nKey Responsibilities\nOriginate New Opportunities and Market Verticals\nProactively identify and close new business opportunities beyond traditional referral and partner-led channels to acquire new Visa issuing clients for debit, credit and prepaid across both consumer and commercial issuing. This role will primarily be responsible for new issuing wins but will include developing integrated ‘One Visa’ propositions where relevant that includes Visa’s Value Added Services Capabilities\nBuild market maps and target account strategies across priority growth segments.\nCreate and execute market development strategies across emerging segments including digital wealth and investing platforms, crypto and digital asset providers, remittance providers, fintechs and other growth sectors.\nLead deals throughout the entire sales process\nLead opportunities through qualification, governance, approvals, contracting and execution.\nCoordinate internal stakeholders across Product, Finance, Legal, Risk, Client Services and Regional teams.\nSupport opportunities through onboarding, implementation and activation to ensure successful commercial outcomes.\nLead Commercial Engagement and Relationship Development\nEngage confidently with prospect founders, CEOs, Heads of Payments, Chief Product Officers, Chief Commercial Officers and other senior stakeholders.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nRequired Experience\nDemonstrated experience as a hunter identifying, originating and converting new business opportunities within payments\nDeep understanding of card issuing, fintech ecosystems and broader payments industry dynamics.\n8+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, payments, banking, fintech or financial services.\nExperience developing commercial relationships within emerging growth segments such as digital wealth, embedded finance, crypto/digital assets, Travel/remittance or related sectors.\nProven experience constructing, negotiating and executing complex commercial partnerships.\nStrong commercial modelling, deal structuring and business case development capabilities.\nTrack record of navigating commercial, legal, operational and technical stakeholders to deliver business outcomes.\nExperience managing opportunities through the full end-to-end lifecycle from origination to implementation.\nAbility to operate independently, demonstrate strong ownership and drive opportunities through ambiguity.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
