Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nOverview:\nVisa's Regional Ecosystem & Product Risk team is seeking a Senior Manager to support Ecosystem Risk Management across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (CEMEA).\nThis role is a key contributor to Visa's ecosystem risk strategy, driving thought leadership, supporting strategic client engagements, and shaping the evolution of ecosystem risk programs and capabilities across the region. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders, providing expert guidance on complex ecosystem risk matters, influencing client risk performance, and supporting informed risk-based decision making.\nThe role requires strong expertise in payment ecosystem risk management, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex risk challenges into practical solutions that strengthen the integrity of the payment's ecosystem.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDrive Ecosystem Risk Thought Leadership and Client Engagement:\nLead the development and delivery of ecosystem risk thought leadership initiatives that enhance industry awareness and promote effective risk management practices.\nDevelop high-quality thought leadership content, including white papers, executive presentations, position papers, and industry insights.\nPartner with CEMEA Risk Strategy and Risk Management teams to deliver risk-related content through client forums, webinars, training programs, and industry events.\nShape strategic messaging that promotes Visa's ecosystem risk standards, programs, and best practices.\nSupport executive and client-facing engagements by providing market insights, risk intelligence, and advisory recommendations.\nLead Complex Ecosystem Risk Case Resolution:\nServe as a regional subject matter expert on complex, sensitive, and non-standard ecosystem risk situations.\nProvide expert guidance and oversight on high-impact ecosystem risk cases, escalations, and remediation strategies.\nDevelop corrective action plans and risk mitigation recommendations for clients facing elevated ecosystem risks.\nPartner with Global Payment Ecosystem Risk and Controls (PERC) to review, assess, and resolve program exceptions, waivers, and policy deviations.\nProvide leadership with balanced, risk-based recommendations aligned with Visa's risk appetite and strategic objectives.\nDrive timely resolution of ecosystem risk escalations while maintaining consistency and governance standards.\nSupport the Evolution of Ecosystem Risk Programs and Capabilities:\nPartner with regional and global stakeholders to enhance Visa's ecosystem risk framework, services, and client-facing capabilities.\nCollaborate with PERC, Value Added Services, Visa Consulting & Analytics, and Solutions teams to design and enable risk management solutions for clients.\nSupport the development and go-to-market strategy for new ecosystem risk services, tools, and capabilities.\nCoordinate regional reviews of global ecosystem risk initiatives and provide recommendations to ensure alignment with regional priorities and market realities.\nIdentify risks, opportunities, and adoption challenges associated with new initiatives and escalate them as appropriate.\nChampion effective communication, awareness, and adoption of ecosystem risk programs across the region.\nProactively identify opportunities to enhance Visa's ecosystem risk programs, standards, and operational effectiveness.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nWe are seeking a strategic, client-focused, and results-driven professional with a passion for payments, risk management, and innovation.\nExperience and Technical Expertise:\nBachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Advanced degree preferred.\nMinimum 6 years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Financial Services, Fintech, Payments, or a related industry.\nAt least 3 years of hands-on experience managing merchant acquiring risks and payment ecosystem risks.\nStrong knowledge of Visa Ecosystem Risk programs, standards, controls, and risk management practices.\nDemonstrated experience assessing complex risk situations and developing effective mitigation strategies.\nAdvanced experience utilizing automation, analytics, and AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and business outcomes (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, Power BI).\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert complex information into actionable recommendations.\nCommunication and Executive Presence:\nExcellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.\nProven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.\nStrong storytelling, narrative development, and executive presentation skills.\nExperience developing impactful content for senior leadership, clients, industry forums, and external engagement activities.\nExecution and Delivery:\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.\nStrong ownership mindset with exceptional attention to detail and commitment to execution excellence.\nAbility to independently lead initiatives while effectively coordinating diverse stakeholders.\nStakeholder Management and Strategic Thinking:\nProven ability to influence and build credibility across all organizational levels and with external stakeholders.\nStrong stakeholder management and partnership skills across regional and global functions.\nStrategic thinker with sound judgment, strong decision-making capabilities, and a risk-based mindset.\nAbility to balance commercial objectives, client needs, and ecosystem risk considerations to drive sustainable business outcomes.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
