Job Description
The Senior Director, Key Account Business Development will be responsible for leading and growing Visa's strategic client relationships in Oman. This role will drive business growth, strengthen executive-level partnerships, identify new payment opportunities, and deliver commercial outcomes across Visa's portfolio of products and solutions.
Working closely with financial institutions, fintechs, and key ecosystem stakeholders, the successful candidate will develop and execute account strategies aligned to client priorities and Visa's growth objectives. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior client executives while collaborating across Visa's matrix organization to deliver innovative solutions and exceptional client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive revenue growth, market share, and client value.
- Manage and grow relationships with senior executives across key client accounts.
- Identify, structure, and secure new business opportunities across consumer payments, commercial payments, digital commerce, value-added services, and emerging payment solutions.
- Lead commercial negotiations, renewals, and strategic partnership discussions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Consulting, Marketing, Finance, Risk, Legal, and Technology to deliver client priorities and business objectives.
- Monitor industry trends, market developments, regulatory changes, and competitive activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent Visa with clients, industry stakeholders, and relevant market participants.
- Ensure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across all account activities.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in business development, account management, relationship management, or commercial leadership within payments, banking, financial services, or fintech.
- Demonstrated track record of managing complex client relationships and delivering business growth.
- Experience leading commercial negotiations and developing business cases.
- Strong understanding of payments, banking, digital commerce, and financial services.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively within a matrix organization.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification.
- Experience within the Oman or GCC payments and financial services market.
- Knowledge of digital payments, value-added services, and emerging payment technologies.
- Established relationships with senior stakeholders across banks, fintechs, and the broader payments ecosystem.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
