Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nRole Summary:\nThe SW Engineer is responsible for conducting, planning, or overseeing one or more aspects of the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications. This role involves writing code, completing programming tasks, and performing testing and debugging of applications. The SW Engineer also completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, and may interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications or develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.\nAll roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.\nKey Responsibilities:\nConduct analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications.\nWrite code, complete programming tasks, and perform testing and debugging of applications.\nComplete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.\nInterface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.\nDevelop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules as needed.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience\nExperience in Java/J2EE and JavaScript preferred.\nExperience with Angular, NodeJS, Spring, MySQL, and Linux preferred.\nAbility to work effectively across Development, Quality Assurance (QA), automation testing, and production support functions, adapting to evolving project and business needs.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience in analysis, design, and programming of computer applications.\nExperience in debugging and modifying software programs.\nExperience in writing and maintaining technical documentation.\nExperience in performing software testing and troubleshooting.\nExperience in collaborating with users or stakeholders to gather requirements.\nExperience in developing or supporting installation and maintenance procedures.\nExperience in developing cost estimates, budgets, or schedules for software projects.\nExperience in supporting commercial or end user applications.\nExperience in working with cross-functional teams.\nProficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.\nExperience writing automation tools using Selenium, Java, REST APIs, Python, Groovy, and related technologies.\nFamiliarity with software testing principles and quality assurance practices.\nSolid understanding of software engineering concepts, methodologies, and Agile development practices.\nDemonstrated experience using Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve software development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and productivity.\nAbility to contribute across software development, quality engineering, test automation, and production support activities based on project needs.\nDocument processes, designs, test results, and analysis.\nLead root cause analysis and defect resolution activities.\nReview and provide feedback on code, test designs, and test cases.\nCommunicate project status and technical information effectively to stakeholders.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to take on challenges and solve problems proactively.\nHighly driven, resourceful, and results-oriented.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills.\nDemonstrated ability to learn quickly, lead initiatives, and navigate ambiguity.\n\nInformation for US Applicants\nFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $95,500.00 to $ 148,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
