Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nWe are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise Platforms to design, develop, integrate, and support modern enterprise applications and platforms.\nThis role is ideal for an engineer with strong software development fundamentals who enjoys solving complex enterprise problems through application development, APIs, integrations, workflow automation, and platform engineering. Candidates with ServiceNow development experience are highly encouraged to apply, while strong software engineers with experience on other enterprise platforms will also be considered.\nThe successful candidate will combine hands-on development with technical ownership, working across product, architecture, engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications, platform capabilities, and integrations.\nOwn complex technical deliverables from solution design through production implementation and support.\nDevelop applications and services using technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, REST APIs, web services, and modern integration patterns.\nBuild and maintain integrations between enterprise platforms, APIs, data sources, and internal/external systems.\nDevelop and enhance solutions on ServiceNow or comparable enterprise application platforms.\nDesign workflow automation and reusable platform capabilities that improve employee and developer experiences.\nParticipate in solution architecture, technical design, code reviews, and engineering discussions.\nApply software engineering best practices including automated testing, source control, CI/CD, observability, security, and production readiness.\nTroubleshoot complex application, platform, integration, performance, and production issues.\nIdentify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve scalability, resiliency, maintainability, and engineering productivity.\nCollaborate with product owners, architects, engineers, security teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\nMentor other engineers and contribute to engineering standards, reusable patterns, and development best practices.\nExplore emerging technologies, including GenAI and agentic capabilities, to improve enterprise applications, workflows, and user experiences.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nSignificant experience in software engineering, application development, or enterprise platform development.\nStrong programming experience using JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, Python, or comparable languages.\nExperience designing and consuming REST APIs, web services, JSON-based interfaces, and system integrations.\nStrong understanding of software design principles, application architecture, data models, and integration patterns.\nExperience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD, and modern software development practices.\nExperience troubleshooting complex production and integration issues.\nUnderstanding of secure software development, authentication/authorization, application security, and production reliability.\nAbility to independently own complex technical problems from initial analysis through implementation.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nExperience working in Agile software development environments.\nPreferred Qualifications\nServiceNow experience is highly desirable, including one or more of the following:\nServiceNow application development\nJavaScript and server/client-side scripting\nApp Engine and scoped applications\nFlow Designer and IntegrationHub\nREST/SOAP APIs and integrations\nServiceNow platform architecture and configuration\nITSM, CMDB, Employee workflows, or other ServiceNow capabilities\nPlatform upgrades and lifecycle management\nServiceNow development and deployment best practices\nServiceNow CSA, CAD, or related certifications Additional preferred experience:Enterprise application and integration architecture\nCloud-native application development\nAPI-first architectures and integration platforms\nDevOps and automated deployment practices\nEvent-driven architectures\nAI/GenAI-enabled application development\nAgentic applications, AI orchestration, or MCP\nBuilding highly available, secure enterprise applications\n\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
