The role will focus on application onboarding, deployment automation, production release support, platform modernization, operational excellence, and engineering productivity initiatives.\nThe engineer will work closely with development teams, SREs, architects, and platform teams to enable secure, scalable, and compliant deployments across cloud-native environments while driving automation and reducing operational friction.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlatform Engineering & Application Onboarding\nSupport onboarding of applications to the enterprise deployment platform.\nAssist development teams in adopting platform standards, deployment patterns, and operational best practices.\nEnable modernization initiatives including containerization and cloud-native deployments.\nRelease & Deployment Management\nSupport production and non-production deployments across multiple applications and environments.\nCoordinate release activities, implementation plans, validation activities, and rollback procedures.\nTroubleshoot deployment issues and drive resolution during implementation windows.\nAutomation & Engineering Productivity\nDevelop automation scripts and tools to improve deployment efficiency and operational reliability.\nContribute to CI/CD pipeline enhancements and deployment standardization initiatives.\nAutomate repetitive operational processes and improve observability.\nInfrastructure & Middleware Support\nSupport Kafka, RabbitMQ, API Gateway, certificate management, and connectivity-related activities.\nAssist with provisioning, configuration validation, and operational troubleshooting.\nCollaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve platform dependencies.\nOperational Excellence\nParticipate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.\nContribute to operational runbooks, deployment procedures, and knowledge management.\nMonitor application health and support production stability initiatives.\nSecurity & Compliance\nSupport vulnerability remediation and security-driven platform improvements.\nEnsure deployments and operational activities comply with organizational standards and controls.\nParticipate in audit and compliance-related activities when required.\nThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.\nExperience\n4-7 years of software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or production support experience.\nExperience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\nTechnical Skills\nStrong knowledge of Java-based applications and microservices architecture.\nExperience with Linux/Unix systems administration.\nHands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab, or similar).\nExperience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.\nKnowledge of cloud-native deployment concepts.\nExperience with messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.\nUnderstanding of REST APIs and integration patterns.\nKnowledge of SQL databases and troubleshooting database-related issues.\nExperience with scripting using Shell, Python, or similar languages.\nOperational Skills\nProduction support and incident management experience.\nRoot cause analysis and troubleshooting skills.\nRelease deployment and change management experience.\nStrong documentation and communication skills.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with enterprise payment platforms or financial services applications.\nKnowledge of observability tools and monitoring platforms.\nExperience with infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks.\nExposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).\nExperience supporting highly available and mission-critical applications.\nUnderstanding of security, compliance, and vulnerability remediation processes.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
