Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nJob Summary\nSoftware Engineers conduct, plan, or oversee one or more aspects of the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications. They write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. Responsibilities also include completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Software Engineers may interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications or develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.\nAll roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWrite, modify, and review high-quality, testable, and efficient code across front-end, back-end, and data layers.\nIntegrate systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases.\nDevelop and maintain data pipelines and large-scale data processing jobs using appropriate frameworks and cloud services.\nDevelop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests with a strong focus on automation.\nMaintain CI pipelines to run tests automatically upon code commits.\nDebug and perform root cause analysis on issues, using AI-driven tools where applicable, and enforce code quality gates through reviews and static analysis.\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines; package and deploy applications to various environments using containerization and orchestration tools.\nMonitor applications in production using observability tools; investigate incidents, analyze logs, identify root causes, and implement fixes.\nOptimize code for performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability.\nApply secure coding practices, manage secrets properly, validate inputs, and ensure authentication/authorization is robust.\nComply with regulatory standards and maintain documentation for audits.\nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.\nExperience in developing and/or implementing web-based or mobile applications.\nExperience in writing, modifying, and reviewing code for commercial or end user applications.\nExperience in debugging and performing root cause analysis on software issues.\nExperience in developing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.\nExperience in integrating systems via APIs, messaging queues, and databases.\nExperience in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying applications.\nExperience in applying secure coding practices and complying with regulatory standards.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n2 or more years of work experience.\nExperience in developing and maintaining data pipelines and large-scale data processing jobs.\nExperience in using AI-powered coding tools to enhance productivity.\nExperience in optimizing code for performance, cost efficiency, and maintainability.\nExperience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.\nVisa is an EEO Employer\nQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability or protected veteran status.
