Progress starts with you.\nJob Description\nRole Summary:\nThe SW Engineer is responsible for conducting, planning, or overseeing one or more aspects of the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications. This role involves writing code, completing programming tasks, and performing testing and debugging of applications. The SW Engineer also completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, and may interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications or develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.\nAll roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.\nKey Responsibilities:\nWorks under close guidance to implement basic enhancements and modifications to existing software that complies with design specifications and meets security best practices. \nDesigning and implementing test automation code to ensure high-quality software delivery. \nEngages with team members to receive feedback on code. \nFollows instructions from manager to implement improvements to code, processes, and designs with and understands customer/business objectives. \nConsistently produce high-quality code, including modular and reusable components. \nResolve issues with static code analysis and security scans. \nTroubleshooting and resolving bugs as they come up. \nParticipate in all phases of the SDLC to complete deliverables on schedule. \nVisa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.\nExperience with Core Java and Java web application development for RESTful web services. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field OR \nMinimum three (3) years of directly related experience. \nDesire to work with and share new and innovative ideas, constantly expanding your knowledge. \nKnowledge in accessing data using Spring Data, JPA and JDBC. \nOOP Design Skills and experience with design patterns. \nPractical experience with prompt engineering and context management, including memory handling and structured inputs for LLMs. \nDemonstrated use of AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot) as part of professional software development workflows. \nKnowledge w/ Spring Framework, Sprint boot and Build Tools, such as Maven. \nKnowledge in Reactive and Event drive programming using Kafka . \nAbility to understand and author APIs. \nPractice in Test-driven Development. \nKnowledge in multi-threading and concurrency. \nExperience with CI/CD using Jenkins , Docker, Kubernetes. \nWorking with Checkmarx, Qualys, Aqua and similar code/system scanners and remediation for security focused development. \nExperience working with API automation with Java based frameworks (Rest Assured, TestNg or JUnit) or JavaScript based frameworks (Jasmine or Jest). \nFrontend technology experience (React or Angular based development).\n\nInformation for US Applicants\nFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $91,600.00 to $ 142,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
