As a\nVisa Software Engineer, you will help a cross-functional team design, build, and test applications that support\nCorporate Finance processes and users. Your work will modernize finance technology, strengthen operational\nefficiency, and support reliable financial operations across Visa.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and full-stack applications that support Visa Corporate Finance.\nBuild and support automation tools, platform capabilities, and internal systems for finance processes and users.\nWrite clean, scalable, maintainable code using engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.\nPartner with Corporate Finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.\nImprove the reliability, performance, and operational efficiency of finance applications and supporting systems.\nContribute to design and architecture decisions involving scalability, integrations, data flows, and system behavior.\nTroubleshoot finance application and system issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and help resolve production incidents.\nSupport the development of cloud-native and distributed systems.\nDocument technical designs, implementation details, integrations, and system behavior.\nContinuously improve engineering quality, observability, controls, and operational excellence.\nThis is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.\nQualifications\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.\nPreferred Qualifications\nOne to two years of experience developing full-stack applications or backend services.\nFamiliarity with modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, HTML, and CSS.\nExperience building backend services or APIs with Java, Python, Node.js, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.\nKnowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 and hands-on SQL experience, particularly in Corporate Finance or enterprise finance applications, is a plus.\nFamiliarity with generative AI, large language models, prompt engineering, and responsible AI practices.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, documentation, debugging, or productivity.\nBasic experience integrating AI capabilities through APIs, SDKs, or cloud-based services.\nAbility to assess AI-generated outputs for accuracy, security, privacy, and appropriate use.\nInterest in using AI and automation to improve engineering efficiency, finance application support, and operational processes.\nExperience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and an understanding of cloud-native concepts.\nFamiliarity with automation, infrastructure, or platform engineering.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, containerization, or developer tools.\nBasic understanding of reliability, monitoring, and debugging in distributed systems.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.\nExperience analyzing, designing, and programming computer applications.\nExperience in debugging and modifying software programs.\nExperience in writing and maintaining technical documentation.\nExperience in performing software testing and troubleshooting.\nExperience in collaborating with users or stakeholders, including finance or business teams, to gather requirements.\nExperience in developing or supporting installation and maintenance procedures.\nExperience analyzing, designing, and programming computer applications.\n\nInformation for US Applicants\nFor roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $86,500.00 to $ 134,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
