The Assistant Controller is responsible for managing all financial activities within the plants, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and compliance with corporate policies. This role partners closely with operations leadership to drive profitability, optimize manufacturing costs, and support strategic decision-making.\nJob Location:\nVishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. With roughly 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE, Vishay Dale Electronics is one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.\nWhat you will be doing:\nFinancial Management & Reporting\nPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the plants.\nEnsure compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting standards.\nMaintain accurate general ledger and cost accounting records.\nCost Control & Analysis\nMonitor and analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and margins.\nDevelop and implement cost-saving initiatives in collaboration with operations.\nPerform standard cost updates and ensure accurate product costing.\nBudgeting & Forecasting\nLead annual budgeting process for the plants.\nProvide rolling forecasts and variance analysis to management.\nSupport strategic planning with financial insights and scenario modeling.\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nEnsure adherence to internal control policies and SOX compliance.\nCoordinate audits and implement corrective actions as needed.\nBusiness Partnership\nAct as a financial advisor to plants leadership, providing insights to improve operational efficiency.\nSupport capital expenditure projects with ROI analysis and financial justification.\n\nWhat you will bring along:\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).\nExperience: 5+ years in manufacturing finance or cost accounting; prior plant Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred.\nSkills:\nStrong knowledge of cost accounting and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).\nAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skills.\nExcellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.\nKey Competencies:\nBusiness acumen and strategic thinking.\nAbility to influence and collaborate across functions.\nDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.\nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
