Vishay, Yankton, SD, is currently seeking a full-time Product/Process Engineer to perform engineering of specific products from design inception to finished product, including manufacturing process and controls under general direction of the Engineering Section Supervisor.\nJob Location:\nWe’re located southwest of downtown Dover which is the largest city in the New Hampshire Seacoast region, the oldest permanent settlement in New Hampshire, and the seventh oldest in the U.S.A. We’re less than seven miles from the main campus of UNH, and another fun fact is that Dover even is the birthplace of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise.\nWhat you will be doing:\nAs a Process Engineer, you will support manufacturing operations by developing, improving, and sustaining production processes, equipment, and test methods. You will work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and customers to improve product performance, yield, efficiency, and reliability.\nKey responsibilities include:\nAnalyze internal product failures, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\nTroubleshoot manufacturing processes, test systems, equipment, and product failures.\nAnalyze production and test data to ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications while driving improvements in yield and process capability.\nProgram, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, including winding, test, and environmental systems.\nConduct forensic analysis of customer returns, perform root cause investigations, and prepare formal customer reports.\nDevelop and implement new test methods, fixtures, and hardware to improve efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.\nLead and support prototype-to-production transitions while promoting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.\nControl and manage routine to moderately complex engineering projects from concept through implementation.\nDevelop project plans, lead project meetings, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nIdentify opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and process optimization initiatives.\nRecommend improvements to manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes.\nSupport capital equipment planning, justification, vendor selection, procurement, installation, and qualification activities.\nImprove systems used for collecting, monitoring, and storing manufacturing and product performance data.\nProvide technical support for supplier quality issues, incoming inspection activities, and supplier corrective actions.\nCollaborate with customers regarding product requirements, specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and technical concerns.\nSupport environmental, health, safety, facilities, and energy reduction initiatives as needed.\nWhat you will bring along:\nRequires a Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering or its equivalent.\nThree to five years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.\nA high level of mechanical aptitude and ability to translate design and process ideas to useable specifications is required.\nAbility to work independently to develop or manage complex projects.\nAbility to work effectively as a team member and/or project leader.\nA high degree of customer service orientation.\nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
