This role is critical in managing and optimizing manufacturing costs associated with back-end semiconductor assembly and testing processes. The ideal candidate will work closely with the operations, engineering, and finance teams of the three semiconductor divisions (MOSFETs, Diodes, and Optoelectronic Components) to ensure cost transparency, drive efficiency and inter-divisional coordination, and support strategic decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities:\n· Cost Monitoring & Analysis:\n· Track and analyze back-end manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, equipment usage, and overhead at both internal and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test facilities.\n· Identify cost variances and provide root cause analysis with actionable insights.\n· Budgeting & Forecasting:\n· Support the preparation of forecasts / budgets and longer-term strategic financial plans for the semiconductor back-end operations.\n· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals.\n· Reporting & KPIs:\n· Develop and maintain cost dashboards and performance indicators.\n· Provide regular reports to management on cost trends, efficiency metrics, and cost-saving opportunities.\n· Process Improvement:\n· Partner with engineering and production teams to identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives.\n· Evaluate the financial impact of process changes, yield improvements, and capacity expansions.\n· Inventory & Asset Control:\n· Monitor inventory levels and valuation for raw materials, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished goods.\n· Ensure accurate capitalization and depreciation of back-end equipment.\n· Compliance & Controls:\n· Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.\n· Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting and manufacturing operations.\nQualifications:\n· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or CPA/CMA is a plus).\n· 10+ years of experience in cost control, preferably in the semiconductor or electronics manufacturing industry.\n· Strong understanding of back-end semiconductor processes and cost drivers.\n· Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel skills.\n· Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.\n· Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.\nPreferred Skills:\n· Knowledge of semiconductor industry cost structures and market dynamics.\n· Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.\nHome Office and Travel Requirements:\n· Position to be based at Vishay Asia regional headquarters in Singapore, or at any of our primary back-end manufacturing facilities (including Shanghai, China;
