Vishay Barry is currently seeking applicants for an Electroplating Technician.\nJob Location:\nVishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are approximately 70 employees working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position Monday - Friday.\nWhat you will be doing:\nReview work orders, drawings, travelers, and related paperwork to confirm plating requirements, specifications, and processing instructions.\n\nVerify that all prior manufacturing operations have been completed before beginning the plating process.\n\nIdentify job-specific plating parameters and set tank controls accordingly, including time, temperature, current, voltage, and other required settings.\n\nPerform proper tank setup and execute plating instructions in accordance with documented procedures.\n\nRack, tool, and handle parts properly to ensure quality plating results and prevent damage.\n\nInspect parts prior to plating to confirm proper surface preparation and cleanliness.\n\nVisually inspect completed parts for plating quality, coverage, appearance, and workmanship.\n\nAssist with routine maintenance of plating systems and equipment, including adding chemicals, changing filters, maintaining racks, and supporting general upkeep of the plating area.\n\nMaintain accurate records as required by work instructions, travelers, and quality procedures.\n\nMaintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.\n\nFollow all environmental, health, and safety regulations, including proper chemical handling, SDS awareness, and PPE requirements.\n\nSupport continuous improvement, housekeeping, and cross-functional teamwork within the department.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nPay is up to $26 hourly based on experience and skills\n\nWhat you will bring along:\nQualifications and Skills\nMinimum of 5 years of electroplating experience required.\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\n\nAbility to read and interpret work orders, drawings, blueprints, and process instructions.\n\nStrong understanding of plating processes, tank setup, racking, tooling, and part handling.\n\nExperience working with chemicals in a manufacturing or plating environment.\n\nStrong safety awareness and commitment to environmental, health, and safety practices.\n\nKnowledge of SDS requirements and chemical handling procedures.\n\nMust consistently comply with PPE requirements.\n\nExcellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.\n\nAbility to work in a harsh chemical environment for extended periods of time.\n\nAbility to work well with others in a team-based manufacturing environment.\n\nDependable, organized, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.\n\nPhysical and Environmental Requirements\nMust be able to stand for extended periods of time.\n\nMust be able to work around plating chemicals, tanks, fumes, and related equipment.\n\nMust be able to wear required PPE for extended periods.\n\nMust be able to lift, carry, rack, and handle parts as required by the job.\n\nMust always follow all safety and environmental procedures.\n\nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
