In this position, the Facilities Technician performs precious metal recovery activities and facility preventive maintenance that support reliable production, safe facility operation, and environmental compliance\nJob Location:\nHollis, NH is a small suburb in Southern New Hampshire, an hour north of Boston, MA and conveniently located near other major cities and access points in the New England area. Vishay UltraSource has 27,000 sq. ft of manufacturing space and approximately 80 employees working between two shifts.\nWhat you will be doing:\nRemove gold and other precious metals from sputtering shields, tooling, and coated components using a sandblast cabinet and hand tools.\nCollect, segregate, and prepare recovered material for reclaim according to established procedures, maintaining required records and coordinating timely transfer.\nMaintain facility and cleanroom support areas in a clean, orderly condition consistent with housekeeping and contamination-control procedures.\nAssist with scheduling and tracking facility preventive maintenance, documenting completed work and outstanding needs.\nInspect and perform assigned maintenance on air compressors and air delivery systems to support a reliable supply of clean, oil-free compressed air.\nMonitor and maintain nitrogen delivery and other assigned production gas systems. Replace cylinders and connect gas supplies to sputtering equipment according to written procedures and required training.\nPerform assigned maintenance on cleanroom HVAC and exhaust equipment, including filter and belt replacements.\nMonitor DI water system performance against established water-quality requirements; perform scheduled filter changes and other approved maintenance, and promptly escalate out-of-limit conditions.\nAssist with wastewater system operation, evaporator cleanouts, and collection and transfer of used solvents and hazardous waste according to approved procedures.\nPerform routine facility and cleanroom equipment repairs within assigned training and authorization.\nAssist the manager with scheduling and coordinating electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other subcontractor work, including communicating work status and concerns.\nAssist Production and Engineering with fabrication of fixtures and approved equipment modifications.\nConduct assigned safety inspections, including checks of emergency lighting, first aid supplies, eyewash stations, chemical labeling and storage, clear aisles, and housekeeping.\nIdentify safety hazards, correct conditions within assigned authority, and promptly escalate issues requiring additional support.\nSupport applicable OSHA and NHDES requirements through assigned inspections, maintenance, corrective actions, and accurate records.\nWhat you will bring along:\nExemplify the Core USI values: Positive Outlook, Honesty, Determination, Responsibility, and Commitment to Excellence.\nHigh School Diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.\nMechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot routine facility and utility system problems.\nFacility or industrial maintenance experience preferred; experience with cleanrooms, compressed air, water treatment, or gas delivery systems a plus.\nAbility to coordinate assigned work with contractors, Production, Engineering, and EHS personnel.\nWillingness and ability to complete required training for cleanroom work, chemical handling, gas cylinder changes, and assigned maintenance activities.\nMust have good hand-eye coordination, endurance for repetitive tasks, attention to detail and ability to focus on the task.\nAbility to communicate information clearly and accurately both in writing and verbally.\nKnowledge of how to use various hands tools\nAbility to lift, move, carry, push, and pull between up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.\nAvailable to work evenings and/or weekend as needed. \nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
