Vishay is seeking candidates for an Operations Manager position.\nThe Manufacturing team provides value add by: Managing or executing production activities in a production environment within a plant assigned, at various reporting and work level. A manager at this level coordinates the planning, execution, and alignment of topics, processes and related procedures described, by usually leading a respectively qualified team of specialists or (few) professionals (or -if more applicable-: a small supply chain operations area).\nJob Location:\nThis position is located in Duluth, MN.\nWhat you will be doing:\nDevelops tracking methods internal to the plant to monitor quantity, quality, cost, safety and performance goals; assures all systems coincide with corporate goals and personnel are compliant with these systems\nOversees the capital/operating budgets for the plant. Develops the expense budget to support the operation’s targets. Assures compliance to the expense budget.\nEnsures compliance to all company policies, procedures or general company practices. Takes action on all counterproductive issues via formal processes provided by the company\nSelects appropriate subordinate group to ensure smooth company operations and works with them to optimize company profitability and provides training as appropriate.\nDevelops cost target strategies for the facility. Coordinates the internal efforts to achieve those targets.\nDevelops business unit operational structures for the plant and assures the functions support the business unit strategic direction\nCoordinates hiring tactics, placement strategies along with HR\nMaintains safety and regulatory compliance relating to production facility\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat you will bring along:\nBachelor’s degree in related discipline.\n10 years’ experience in manufacturing environment with demonstrated staff leadership experience.
