Vishay, Yankton, SD, is currently seeking a full-time Operator 1 responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies using the various processes of assembling, winding, soldering, potting and testing.\nKey Responsibilities:\nOperates equipment in accordance with documented procedures\nPerforms requirement set up and calibration\nPerform routine preventative maintenance tasks\nDaily input into MES\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Skills & Abilities:\nAbility to read and follow work instructions\nAbility to use hand tools, power tools, and automated manufacturing or robotics equipment\nInspect parts and complete assemblies to ensure they meet strict specifications, measurements, and tolerance limits.\nEducation & Experience:\nNo education required, but preferred\nGreat hand dexterity\nAbility to meet Vishay’s attendance policy (2% absenteeism rate or less annually)\nAbility to use a microscope for 8 hours daily\nMobility to move from one piece of equipment to another as some machinery or processes may require regular monitoring\nAbility to do repetitive tasks that require the use of various defined procedures\nAbility to work in a team environment and independently while maintaining a good working relationship with co workers & supervisors\nPhysical & Mental Requirements:\nAttention to detail, teamwork, and interpersonal skills\nAbility to do moderate to heavy lifting to lift equipment, fixtures, and materials used in manufacturing\nHearing and eye protection required\nGreat hand dexterity\nExposure to high magnetic field may interfere with pacemaker and/ or medical devices\nAbility to contribute to quality objectives\nProvide products and services that exceed customer expectations\nObeys all work rules and Environmental, Health and Safety regulations as valid for the work tasks assigned\nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
