Vishay Dale Electronics - Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Plating Process Engineer.\nJob Location:Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology. There are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus, NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.\nJob Summary:\nProvides plating process engineering for the commodity Resistors and Inductors Division, North America, US operations.\nWhat you will be doing:\nProvides engineering for plating processes involving chemical reactions. \nResponsible for chemical storage, disposal and effluent treatment. \nUtilizes a broad background in chemical engineering for adapting laboratory techniques to practical day-to-day plating processes. \nProvides support to the paint room technicians and is responsible for the coatings mixing process - WWSMD and WWLD. \nWill require spending a minimum of 8h per week in plant#2 where the coatings are made. \nFormulates plating solutions and provides documented processes for their use, maintenance, and disposal including onsite direction and training of laboratory, quality assurance, production, and maintenance personnel. \nDevelops analysis methods to check plating solutions, determines optimum characteristics and permissible ranges of deviation. \nMaintains all documentation associated with solution formulations, analysis methods, and analysis results. \nResponsible for effluent monitoring and waste material treatment plant. \nTeaches plating personnel the correct plating techniques and housekeeping methods to promote safety and to avoid contamination of plating solutions. \nFunctions as Facility Environmental Coordinator, directing the establishment and maintenance of hazardous waste and environmental programs, requiring interaction with federal and state environmental agency personnel. \nAlso tracks key environmental data for regulatory and corporate reporting requirements. \nWhat you will bring along:\nBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering \n5-7 years’ experience in process/manufacturing engineering preferred.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. \nProficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel) and lean manufacturing principles. \nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. \nMust satisfactorily complete annual HAZWOPER and RCRA training. \nMust be able to pass an annual respiratory physical. \nWhat can we offer you for your talent:\nVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
